Your All-Time Favorite Fighting Games

What is or was your favorite fighting game(s) of all time? Also are you a hardcore player or more casual.


My favorite all-time was Tekken 2 (Japan version) on the PS1. I must have logged hundreds of hours playing that game. Made a bit of $ also

Next would be Soul Calibur on DC. My partners and I used to play that so much, that if you won 5 matches in the row, you had to play the 6th blindfolded. Some ppl use to actually win that way.

After that was Karate Champ (arcade). It's old school, but that game actually took some skills to play. I spent alot of quarters kicking *** and getting my *** kicked!


Right now I'm a casual player, I don't have the time to put in a game to get good. So I don't dare play SFIV online. Maybe the next Tekken I'll try to put some time in.

2. Street Fighter 2 (any version can be lumped in here)
3. Soul Caliber

6. Killer Instinct Gold (would be higher if Cinder was in the game)

Fighter's Megamix on Saturn. That needs a sequel or downloadable remake.

Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike on Ps2 is my favorite....but the ones I played the most are probably the Street Figther Alpha Series, Tekken 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on DC.

Mortal Kombat 3 - First Mortal Kombat I played and I still play it today on my 360 had a lot of fun with this game.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Loved going to the arcade to play this one even though I got my *** handed to me a lot it was still a fun game and the character selection was just crazy

Def Jam Fight for NY I loved this game so much I still hope EA can make another one becuase Icon was just terrible. I had always wanted a fighting game like this one and EA really came through here to me. This was street/underground fighting at its finest to me.

Never was big on fighters, but still I'd have to say Bloody Roar. We had a lot of fun with that one back in the day. I was a beast with the rabbit.
