    GTA: Chinatown Wars PSP

Geoff Keighley from GameTrailers just twittered this:

geoffkeighley Rockstar is bringing the DS title GTA: Chinatown Wars to the PSP this Fall. I wonder if this means we'll finally get voiceovers.

The PSP version will utilise the system's more powerful architecture, featuring revised widescreen visuals as well as enhanced animations and more story missions.

PSP owners rejoice - easily one of the best DS games of the year so far, and arguably the finesty portable rendition of the GTA series, is coming to Sony's machine this autumn. Set to be available via digital download as well as on UMD, the new version will be specifically built for the PSP platform, "with upscaled widescreen graphics, enhanced lighting and animation; and including all-new story missions." It's being developed by Rockstar Leeds 'in conjunction with' GTA-creator Rockstar North - the same arrangement as the DS original.

It's great news for a machine that has lacked truly exceptional game releases of late. Only Resistance: Retribution has really stood out over the last six months with the likes of Patapon 2 and Phantasy Star Portable falling short of high expectations.

Jack Tretton seemed suitably pleased with the news, saying, "Rockstar's work with the GTA series has been an enormous part of the success of PlayStation platforms. We're excited to welcome the critically acclaimed Chinatown Wars to the outstanding line-up of great games headed to the PSP platform this fall."
Now I can't get his voice out of my head. LOL!

I'm guessing the DS sales played a big part in this port?

Yeah, from what I read a month ago, the game had only sold 97,000 on the DS.

This is great news! I for one won't miss the gimmicky touch screen mini games.
