Transformers Revenge of the Fallen video game

Surprised there isn't a thread about this. Anybody planning to get it? Sounds like the multiplayer could be fun. Here's a trailer:

I was interested in it, but just too much other stuff coming out. I enjoyed the first one, but it just got annoying to even play and I gave up on it. I hear this one is better, but will probably wait for the price drop when it hits DVD.

I'm interested in it too and am looking forward to reading reviews. I won't be expecting much but I've found one reason or another to like most Transformers games since the one for the Commodore 64. Nostalgia factor I guess.

Sounds like the multiplayer is decent, but I have a feeling by the time I get the game, no one will be playing it anymore.

As I mentioned, Revenge of the Fallen is a third-person action game where you can transform between your vehicle and robot forms. Your first sign that something is a little screwy comes when you're taught the controls. Instead of tapping a button to toggle between your two forms, you have to hold the right trigger, which also happens to be the same button that you fire with, and what you use to accelerate.

Once you transform into your vehicle mode, you have to keep holding down the right trigger. In order to let up off the accelerator, you need to let up off the trigger a bit. This is fine except that you can't not accelerate while in your vehicle form. Also, your firing button changes to a face button, which while in robot form is instead used for melee attacks.

That doesn't even sound playable.

Movie games are pretty much a guaranteed fail. Too bad, because I love The Transformers.

The first one sucked

I remember my case fell behind the computer stand with the game in it and I just left it there, because it sucked that much.


I'd rather spend my money on the GI Joe game than this :P

I agree. The game was decent, but those boss battles were annoying. This one is worth getting when the price drops imo.
