    Star Wars Games

does anyone know how jedi academy is going to play. it sounds like knights of the old republic is going to be some sort of program move turn based style thing. i am more into actually pressing the button and shooting or whatever. i think it is called real time in the video game world. so does anyone know if jedi academy will be real time. because out of the 3 or so games they have coming out this one looks like the one i would get.

Jedi Academy will play like Jedi Outcast. In other word, pressing the button and shooting.

Is academy going to be a third-person or first-person game? I'm guessing it will be a third-person game, because of the ability to create the look of your Jedi. I never played Outcast. I've heard it is a FPS, but I saw some screenshots of a guy holding a lightsaber. I would like to play Outcast, but would be unable to if it is an FPS, because those games get me dizzy.

i am mostly a sports gamer. i usually only play the big time non sports games like halo, gta, metal gear etc. i am tying to broaden my gaming horizon and i want a third person game where i can use the force and a light saber. i havent play jedi outcast either. so jedi academy sounds like i would press a button and my light saber would swing or my blaster would fire. is that right. the game is also going to be online.

For the first few levels it is a FPS. Kinda dull, and made me dizzy too.

Then you get the lightsaber and everything changes. Third person view, force powers, etc. You start to run around force pushing people off cliffs, hacking off arms with the saber, flipping off walls, choking people ala Darth Vader and blasting stormtroopers with force lightning. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Multiplayer is great too - running around a Death Star or Bespin level with a dozen lightsaber battles going on.

In a word, just get thru to Yavin and get the lightsaber. The game improves 300% after that. Highly recommeded - esp. for Star Wars fans - one of the best Star Wars games I have ever played.
