Re: Rock Band 3
The lack of classic rock Harmonix has been putting out recently is ticking me off. 3 of the last 4 weeks have absolutely blown to me. And the other was OK, but nothing from my enormous wishlist (which has only gotten songs from 2/60+bands and 30+ singles since I created it over a year ago).
There has been zero classic rock DLC since CCR or Edgar Winter, whichever came later, and that was at least 2 months ago.
I understand LZ and PF not being in the game I guess, but how there is no Seger, ELP, ELO, Eagles, and one Journey song that NEEDS keys support boggles my mind. Those were just off the top of my head, like I said I have a wishlist of 60+ artists, at least 75% of the list would be amazing on all instruments and would surely sell really well, the other 25% are just because of keys and/or vox.Last edited by CC; 04-01-2012, 07:49 PM.Comment

Re: Rock Band 3
agreed CC. how/why they haven't re-released the Boston Pack with keyboard support is beyond me. i know some people complained about "re-buying" songs (Queen, Bon Jovi), but guess what...most of that stuff still sold well.
more classic rock, more hair metal...someday.
and give me back "Anyway You Want It" already ^$%@!!!!Comment

Re: Rock Band 3
I'm still waiting for the song pack that makes me repurchase it for the PS3. I have a ton of stuff for the 360, but when that died I switched over and still haven't rebought anything. Idk what it is, but I'm just not in any hurry to do it. I've never been a classic rock guy, and I don't care about metal. If they were to release some Muse, good Weezer (complete the Blue and Pinkerton albums), Radiohead, or some Ben Folds or Ben Folds Five for keys I'd be back in a heartbeat.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: Rock Band 3
I'm so glad I bought this game, I never play Guitar Hero anymore as Rock Band 3 has the no-fail mode so I can play when I'm drinking and I've finally gotten pretty good at it on the default setting. Repetition does help alot and my g/f and I play for about 3 hours each week and I usually come in about 85% or so until I've had a few too many when I get down around 70%. But that's great for me considering I used to not be able to really even play on anything but the lowest level, LOL
I too echo what you guys say, if they'd release more classic or 80's rock I'd certainly purchase a LOT more music. Aren't they paying attention to the tours that are selling out lately, uhh..Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Kiss, Iron Maiden, etc!Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Its the year of The Doors and there are so many songs they could release that would be great to play for all instruments. Spanish Caravan, The End, When the Musics Over and they have a really good selection of live music they could draw from. They need more music from that era in general.Because I live in van down by the river...Comment

Re: Rock Band 3
This is what they need for classic rock. Elton John (2) and Steely Dan (2) are the only ones on this list with more than one playable song (most have 0), but Crocodile Rock sucks.
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Rolling Stones
Bob Seger & The SBB
ELO
ELP
Elton John
Neil Young (CSN&Y)
Cream
The Animals
Three Dog Night
Steely Dan
The Beach Boys
Uriah Heep
Supertramp
Toto
Genesis
Journey
Steppenwolf
King Crimson
The Eagles
ZZ Top
Bob Dylan
Dire Straights
Van Morrison
Van Halen (Even though I'm not a big fan)
And some various awesome singles. For example...
Focus- Hocus Pocus
Spencer Davis Group- Gimme Some Lovin'
Iron Butterfly- In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
Manfred Mann's Earth Band- Blinded By The Light
The Zombies- Time Of The Season
The Turtles- Happy Together
Spirit- I Got A Line On You
Paraphrased from my wishlist.
But, seeing as HMX fails hard at licensing older stuff, I'd even be happy with bands we already have a ton of. More Doors, Boston, hell even Queen would make me happy right now. I'm not a very happy paying customer ATM, and I buy stuff weekly. If on the rare occassion I have extreme distaste for HMX's offerings (next week) I at least buy a few RBN songs. But, I think DLC has been really dry, so I'm close to stopping my weekly support since all the money I've spent keeps going into licensing of more 'meh' bands.
I'm not adverse to all this 90's and 00's stuff, but mix it up. How about some Piano Rock (please) or some Punk or something, instead of this modern nu-metal stuff that sounds exactly the same every other week. Everything is fine... in moderation.Last edited by CC; 04-07-2012, 09:18 AM.Comment

Re: Rock Band 3
There's not a lot of 90's.
Floyd and Zep have been explained 801480328 times.
I doubt The Animals have usable masters. CREAM may not either.
GH owns VH,probably The Eagles too.
I know why there's no Bob Dylan but can't/not allowed to say.
As much as I want it I don't think In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is playable with the current engine. See: 2112/that RBN song.
Rolling Stones are a huge mystery. It's not like they don't lisence songs and they have a bunch in GH soSame with Bob Seger.

Re: Rock Band 3
IIIIIIIIII'M Comin' up, so you better get this party started.
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (April 17th, 2012):
• P!nk – “Get the Party Started” O X
• P!nk – “Sober” O
• P!nk – “Please Don’t Leave Me” O
• P!nk – “Funhouse” O
Yeah... buying it all I suppose. It's actually better than the last three weeks combined to me, and I have 2 of 3 of those packs. Should get some solid play by others.
Please HMX put out something to make me happy. All I ask is for almost anything 60s/70s/80s (that is not metal or CCR) and preferably with heavy keys. Or to give me some modern piano rock.Last edited by CC; 04-13-2012, 11:27 AM.Comment
