Hey guys

Well I been playing alot of sport games lately (Go figure lol). The games I been playing a ton lately are.

Fight Night Rd 4
UFC 2009
NHL 09
FIFA 09
NCAA 09
APF2k8
little SOCOM and World at war sprinkled in. But those have been the most in my drive.

Now I am about to go and trade in KILLZONE 2. Something about it I just don't like. I think it is the view. It feels to zoomed in and cramped to me. But anyway I am trading it in. I want to pick up something different from a sports title. The games I been following are not out yet.

Mafia 2
Operation Flashpoint 2
Madden 10
MAG
Dante's Inferno
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Starcraft 2
etc

These are the games I currently own but are not playing a ton.

GTA4 with add on
Mass Effect
Fallout 3
NBA 2k9
Ace Combat 4
Mercs 2
Dead Space
few older titles.

What new titles or somewhat new titles that came out that are worth getting. I have 360, PS3 and PC so any system is fine. I am just looking for something maybe I missed. I don't want to get prototype or Infamous, open worlds have run their course with me for now.

I looked over RF2 and I was almost tempted to get it. Couple things turned me off. I am not really feeling the open world games this year and it having a lack of a story and plain terrain kind of kills it for me. I heard the destruction and multiplayer are top notch though.

I am kinda of gearing my decision away from a multiplayer mainly title. I have so many games that I stick to multiplayer on.

Any other ideas? The more the better lol.

Those are solid recommendations.

Even though you aren't interested in an open-world game, inFamous is an awesome game.

yea got uncharted and beat it. Also have world at war. I have it mentioned as one of the titles I been playing lately.

I looked at Infamous, but it is all about electrical powers. Seems like that would get old.

Any good hack & slash RPG action games that came out recently? I have not played a hack n slash since the first Diablo. I was looking at Demon souls and Dantes inferno and both look pretty solid. Also God of war III. I have never really play alot of those type of games but I am thinking I might like to find a good one.

I looked at Infamous, but it is all about electrical powers. Seems like that would get old.

It is, but the way the powers progress during the game as far as getting new ones, it never gets boring IMO because you are always unlocking new powers.

Yea I heard the same thing about Sacred 2. It is only "ok". To many side quest which takes away from the actual main story line.

Fuel is the open world racing title right? Only race game I own that still gets play time is Forza 2.

Call of Juarez does not look bad and I almost grab it off of STEAM. I have been through soooooo many first person shooters it is not drawing me in. Only the setting is very tempting.

I am kinda of look for something God of War-ish. Maybe Assassins Creed I should get. I never played it so maybe that would be a good cheap purchase. I just know it is kinda of repetive from what I read.

God of War-ish? Have you played Heavenly Sword? It's not new but it's God of War-ish.

I liked Assassin's creed. You only have to do 3 of the 6 activites to advance,it's the same 6 every time but you can alternate wich is what I did so never really got that bored with it. I think it's because people were doing all 6 for achivements. Also I enjoyed the running around part.

Heavenly Sword was a great rent, that'd be a good suggestion for a kinda quick but awesome single player GOW esque game.

I agree with AC as well, that was a stellar game. Slightly repetitive, but you can skip some of the stuff like he says, I was just trying to do as much as I could.

Haven't been blown away lately. I'm excited for Overlord 2. Not the most challenging game but I had a good time with the first one.

Unless you like playing a game that frustrates you to no end, don't buy Red Faction. The missions aren't challenging, they just keep throwing enemies at you. And don't even get me started on your allies, or as I like to call them, cannon fodder that doesn't even come close to helping you in any way.

I gave a try to the full game of Wolverine today (putting my unlimited rentals to work! untill I get NCAA 10). That's for sure God of War like and probably your best bet for a recent a game that's like it. On the other hand it's a movie game and probably going to plummet in price soon enough if it hasn't already.
