For those experiencing problems with their Xbox
I thought I would post this here for anyone who may have been going through the Xbox hell I was going through. For the past few months I've been experiencing the dreaded dirty disc errors on my original launch Xbox. I finally decided to call 18004MYXBOX to see what could be done. I heard it cost $100 to fix the problem so I wanted to see what the deal was. I called them up and explained my problem to the hottie who answered (I'm guessin she was hot) and after answering all of her questions she told me it was still covered by the warranty (which I never sent in). They're sending me a box which I will put my Xbox in and send to them. They will fix it for free including free shipping and she said it would take a little over a week after I send it in. When I get my Xbox back I will definitely be up for some IP among other Live titles. Hopefully this will help others in the same boat.

Re: For those experiencing problems with their Xbox
They did the same thing for me when I called them, sent a box to ship it back to them in. I never ended up sending it back though, because the next morning it was reading disks again, and I haven't had any problems since, other than the occasional error, but nothing big.Comment

Re: For those experiencing problems with their Xbox
some games work fine for me and i never get the error, but with some games it could take at least 10-15 min of ejecting and pushing it back in till i get it to work. are these just bad discs? or is it worth sending my xbox to be fixed since its free?Comment

Re: For those experiencing problems with their Xbox
Well if u have to send your xbox in and let them fix it, there is obviously something wrong with how the xbox was made. Unless your pouring Kool-aid in your xbox or sumthin. It may be a manufacturing error or driver error. I know the only time I get errors is when I play dvds (not all though)
I might try sending mine in if Bdt92 gets his back in working order.Today I realized something. I'm a clown. A class clown... and it sickens me. - Bart Simpson (The Simpsons)Comment

Re: For those experiencing problems with their Xbox
I'll be sure to let you all know.
Is your Xbox an early launch era one or a newer one? If it's an older one you should look into getting it fixed. I got mine on launch day and I have read all over the internet that the launch and early Xbox's used bad disc drives. My MVP, Inside Pitch, and Ghost Recon games always end early because of dirty disc errors. I have problems loading MotoGP 2 and Castle Wolfenstein but once they do load there's no problems.Comment
