Flight Simulator
Anyone play any of the Microsoft Flight Simulators? I just picked up FS2004 and finally found my old joystick(MS Sidewinder).

Re: Flight Simulator
I used to have it on my computer back in the early/mid 90's. I used to get the expansion packs Hawaii, Japan ect. I love plugging in waypoints and then flying to them until you reached your destination. It's as real as it gets. I used to always fly from LAX to Hawaii. Great flying sim game. Re: Flight Simulator
Always wanted to get into the MS's Flight Sim series but never really had the CPU to handle the newest version at the time. I can run X fine now, maybe I'll scoop it up.Comment

I almost got X. 2004 is basically the same thing. A few technical improvements and a red bull air race mode and mission mode.
I need to learn how to properly fly, I usually just wing it(bwahaha)Comment

Re: Flight Simulator
Now you get every airport in the entire world free out of the box. Plus there are thousands of plane and scenery add ons.

Re: Flight Simulator
I love FSX. So much fun, and I like to try to get a 1-2 hour flight in daily. Luckily we just got a new computer with a huge HDD (1TB) And 4 GB of RAM, so it runs pretty smooth.Comment

Re: Flight Simulator
I found Flight Simulator X Gold Edition when I was at the mall yesterday and I couldn't resist. Don't have a joystick or even a gamepad and I realize playing with the mouse isn't truly playing so I may have to invest in one. Already took a flight around London, great seeing all the famous spots.Comment

Re: Flight Simulator
The largest selection of flight sim software and hardware for FS2004 and FSX. Yokes, pedals, scenery, aircraft and much more is in stock or available for instant download.
The definitive version. Has the deluxe version of the original and the Accelerator expansion. Tons of missions, more planes, and even more airports. Can't get over how many cities are in this game. I just keep flying through cities I have lived in and notice all the buildings. Really good stuff and with a few .cfg tweaks I can run it with most settings on high and with a good framerate. Going to tweak some sensitivity with my keyboard and see if that can hold me over till I get back to the UK and get a joystick/gamepad.Comment

Re: Flight Simulator
I remember back in the 90's when I used to play this game and I flew from LAX to Hawaii and just flying around Hawaii was just so cool. I went to Hawaii in 1994 and getting on the game and seeing some of the scenery that I had just visited was awesome. Can't wait to go pick this up. Gonna check Craigslist 1st and see what I can come up with. Peace!!!!!The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Flight Simulator
Just a heads up for those that did not know this you can go to a local airport and purchase flight maps and use those for flying to different locations and they are spot on. I was shocked when a friend of mine did this and we punched in the waypoints and it took us directly to where we wanted to go. Even airports that do not show up in-game will show up when punching in waypoints from Real Flight Maps. Peace!!!!The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Flight Simulator
You can download any plane imaginable for 02, 04, X.
I am trying to learn how to properly fly. Some of the stuff I just can't get. I love the flight trainer though, I'm just to lazy to read the actual material before doing lessons.
Here are some joysticks - http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_e?...ystick&x=0&y=0Comment
