Have been trying for years to get my wife to enjoy video games with me......she always gives me an ugly look.

My girlfriend was the same way for a long time. Well, with the exception of Guitar Hero. Then, we got a Wii and started playing Mario. From there I got her to play Little Big Planet (although it's annoying as hell because she likes to change her sack girls appearance all of the time ). Then, when Halo ODST came out, I asked her if she wanted to help me get through this tough level and loved it. We ended up going through Halo 3 & Gears of War 1 & 2 before Halo Reach came out, then we beat that together.

The point is... I would recommend starting her on something like Gears 3. Start her out on a "Mommy" game.

I forgot how great the cover use in this game is. Probably the most enjoyable part for me. Of course, the game looks beautiful and the gritty sound is perfect for the atmosphere, but even with the outrageous executions, I think the most enjoyable part is running for cover and using all the well placed barricades in each map.

For the discount buying the season pass instead of the four DLC separate I would say makes it worth it.

I just purchased the Season Pass. I can tell I'm going to put many, many hours into this game. So that alone warrants the purchase for me.

Also thought I'd post a game had I had on Mercy. Love this map. Reminds me of Raven Down from Gears of War 1 in terms of it's size.

Being new the the MP experience it's still a be frustrating control wise (I'll dive and roll instead of taking cover). The game play being a smooth as it is and it just being a hell of a lot of fun to play, makes my current short comings easily dismiss able cause I'm just enjoying the game so much. Going up against a group of players working together is just a nightmare sometimes, having the team still have 12 players when the game is done is just maddening, and having this happen 3 times in a row it's time to find another room. Played my first rounds of King of the Hill, battling for control of the one point is a great concept.

Love the maps, though still have not played on my favorite one, Trenches. Love Team Deathmatch but Capture the Leader tops it for sure. The game is excellent even though I'm not too good.

What's a good gun for a way-below-average guy at multiplayer? I'm using the Hammerburst but it's pretty hard to use for me.

Switch to the Lancer and remember active reload is your friend.
