Rocksteady(Arkham Asylum developer) looks to be doing Hitman 5

I've always liked the idea of the Hitman games but they've always just felt off and looked horrible, hopefully Rocksteady can do a great job with it.

I like what Batman has, but I do hope they don't change the Hitman series too much...If it becomes more basic (only really 1 way to achieve your goal), I'll be disappointed big time. We'll wait and reserve judgment until we see something though....

Great news, if it has anything near the amount of polish that Arkham Asylum seems to have (based on the demo for now) i'm putting it on my must buy list.

I've always loved the Hitman games. So many different ways to accomplish the goal and the best part was different ways to accomplish the goal at the best assassin rating.

Kane & Lynch took the Hitman engine and made a joke of it. The last Hitman game was solid but it wasn't different than the Xbox/PS2 versions. Hopefully this hits soon as we haven't had a Hitman game in a long time.

Sweet. The Hitman series is very fun...I love going back and doing the missions differently. Looking forward to this one.

Yeah, I mean I like what they did with Batman, but it's so linear and it's the creativity that made Hitman so awesome. I just hope Rocksteady can change their formula and do Hitman right.

We've been due for a new Hitman game for too damn long...I really liked Blood Money, but it was mostly a port from PS2 to 360, wasn't really "next gen". Hopefully they can really bring the series to life with all the advancements in the past 3 or 4 years.

I think getting 1000/1000 achievements on this game was the most fun I have had getting achievements on a game because you get to do each level so many different ways.

Eidos Presient says Rocksteady not doing Hitman 5, it's IO's baby.

Gotta admit I'm happy with this announcement. I'm sure Rocksteady would do a good game, but I want the original devs doing such an awesome series like Hitman. I fear it woulda kinda been like the COD series where the "off year" games are ok, but nothing stellar.
