I'm trying to complete my pokedex in White 2 right now so hopefully Nintendo figured out how to make ish transfer. What version are y'all planning on getting? I'm leaning towards Y moreso now.

It all depends on the Pokemon since I'm a competitive battler.

Im probably getting X, my brother will usually get the opposite then. Im hoping they eventually make a Pokemon game on console that looks great, and plays like the handheld. Especially with the WiiU controller, I cant see why a Pokemon game cant be great on the system.

My fiancée and I could never share handhelds. She got her own 3DS and we always split the Pokemon games. Don't know who's getting X and Y yet, though.

That 80 dollars though. I will be picking up x or y though.

I find Honedge pretty cool.

I've never forgotten that a batch of eggs was a pokemon in the first generation. There have always been dumb pokemon designs.

That sword Pokemon completely turned me off from the game.

Comparing the first 2-3 gen designs to everything after just makes me sad.

I don't think the sword is any worse than some of the bad Gen 1 Pokemon. A Mime? Jynx? Porygon? Ditto? Lickitung? The only reason nobody hates Ditto is because of the breeding.

I mean, I get it... there's Pokemon from every gen to hate (especially that ****ing ice cream come bitch.) I just don't see the big deal though, personally.

Its a living sword with a sheath. All those you mentioned at least had some character behind it. We're talking about a sword. Thats some Legend of Zelda stuff (which may not be such a bad idea for Zelda to do).

Next gen we'll have the pokemon table top, or a pokemon door handle.

Dont forget the bag of garbage that evolves into a bigger bag of garbage. And Im talking beyond the sword. Some of the designs are too convoluted and go into Yugioh territory.

Trust me, I'm right there with you on that. I just know I love the tried and true formula of the games and there's always a couple new Pokemon that are worth grabbing from the newer generations.

For the most part, though, the starters (comparatively) will never touch the first gen starters.
