Meeting a guy in Hoover tomorrow.

Trying to buy a 3DS for $40.00 without a charger. If it's in decent shape I'll jump on it. If it all works out, I'm going to GS or BB to pick up one of these two. He said he had a few, so let's hope they aren't stolen.. lol.

Just a quick questions that may have been answered

Do you have to have X to play with someone who has Y and vise versa ?

I don't know jack about newer Pokemon past what ws introduced with Gold and Silver so I don't know which I would even buy. I was sold at "There are wild Eevee(s)".

Part of me just wants to pay a few more days and go buy a new 3DS. I like unboxing new things and I don't want any complications with getting online.

As many Pokemon fans are well aware, the highly anticipated Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be appearing on store shelves later this week. Gamers have been waiting all year for the games and they’ll finally be hitting simultaneously across the globe this October 12, and with them come some big changes for the franchise. Apparently change won’t stop at the pair of 3DS-exclusives either, as it’s been announced that Pikachu is in for a major redesign in a future Pocket Monster title.


This revelation came from none other than the CEO of The Pokemon Company, Tsunekaz Ishihara, during a synopsis for an upcoming interview. The interview was conducted by NHK and is scheduled to air on Japanese television later this month – October 28th to be precise – and it’ll hopefully feature more details on this new game. The translation is pretty rough, but it does confirm that Pikachu is in for some serious change.

“In this summer, Ishihawa was in developing the game as ever see. The new game is to change the most popular game character Pikachu. However, there is a possibility to fall the popularity in a moment because Pikachu is beloved by all for long years.”

Basically, Ishihara is concerned that the popularity of Pikachu may be in jeopardy as a result of how bold this change will be. We know this unannounced game isn’t the previously mention Pokemon X and Y because development on the unannounced game only kicked off this past Summer, which means another major title (or even a spin-off) is currently in development. Signs could point to the mysterious Wii U game that surfaced a couple of months ago, but chances are this revamped design could arrive in the form of a Mega Evolution for the iconic yellow rodent.

It’s also possible that Game Freak has already begun work on Pokemon Z, as core work on X and Y likely wrapped up earlier as a result of the games entering the localization process. The Pokemon Company has something planned for Pikachu, and it won’t be much longer until fans will know what it is. For now, however, Pokemon X and Y should keep gamers more than entertained.

It be weird to have Pikachu mega evolve since he is not the final evolution.

You can play with anyone with X or Y. Doesn't matter what game you have.

I caught an Eevee so there are wild Eevees.

Ive never been into the competitive side of Pokemon, but just wondering why you would need a whole new game save to do it? I want to get educated on the competitive scene, this game has me interested finally lol.

Contemplating buying X version or fire emblem next. Just want to see if it is really worth it to buy the game again.

I was thinking of getting Y and use that to do the super training, actually looking at Pokemon's nature and all that jazz. Some of my friends are actually playing competitive battling right now, doing 3 vs. 3 and I'll be at a disadvantage if I battle them with pokemons from X since I have't done any EV training.

Why not just breed a couple and EV train them before you start leveling them then?

It's what I did for my Gengar. Grab a Ditto (or have someone here grab one so you can trade for it) and breed for nature. IV Train then go to town. Equip it with the lucky egg once you're done with training and watch the levels roll in.

Well I screwed the pooch and killed snorlax accidentally. I totally forgot to save before hand and the last time I saved was forever ago.

My party so far:
Riolu 24 (Wont freaking evolve)
Charmeleon 22
Psyduck 20
Pikachu 20
Pidgeotto 23
Quilladin 22

Ones I want to try in PC but dont know who to switch out:
Abra
Espurr

I have also caught 44 pokemon and just got past snorlax. Lol. I also EVed Charmeleon into Special Attack and Speed with remaining on HP. Any suggestions for Pikachu?

Im a competitive noob. Is there a link you can send me for the good natures and how they match up right, and how to breed for them correctly? My body is ready for competition.

I'm just going through the game so far, not worrying about any of those stuff. If I do get Y, it's probably after I beat the game.

If anyone wants to do competitive battling, I would just use Pokemon Showdown. Much easier to use than on the DS, faster as well.

It's an interesting site, but there's a lot going on. I think I would care more if It was Pokemon I had caught and raised from a game.

I'm going to look at prices. I messed with an XL at a kiosk in Wal Mart and it felt okay. If it's not much more expensive I'll probably get the XL.
