Re: Il-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey

I've got it, and initial impression so far is....awesome.

I've played more than fair share of flight sims, and I've always loved WWII flight sims....veteran of the old Warbirds online game. I'm very impressed that a company took the time to make an authentic WWII flight sim for a console.

The flight models are excellent, the only gripes I have are that I'm gonna have to buy a flight stick (again) for this game, and there are currently no cockpits for the german fighters.

If you are a flight sim fan, this is a must get game. Online is a blast too.

Amazon has this game and a Hotas flight stick for $85. Hmmm...

Playing through on Realistic. Haven't tried sim yet. My opinion is that this the best flight game for PS3. I love the feel of the planes, especially the P51. The damage and crash engine is amazing! I like how you can shoot off the wings of the enemy planes, and then watch them as they slowly fall to the ground. I wish you could shoot their parachutes...I know, I'm ruthless.
