Re: Tomb Raider is just....
Brent is right for once, this game is pretty bad, if you can get past the controls and are a big fan of the Tomb Raider series you might like it, but the controls were what always ended up frustrating me on the old game, so I gave up on the new one pretty quick when it was obvious that the control was still very messed up, OK for 10 years ago but not now.Comment

It does happen on occasion.
The screwiest part is the slowdown happened at the first while you are the only on on the screen. I can understand slowdown if you had a bunch of action and enemies on the screen or if it was graphic heavy but there is no excuse for this other then bad programming and poor testing. How this got past Eidos Quality control makes me think they had none. Worst part is how many times this game was delayed.

Re: Tomb Raider is just....
I decided to rent F1 Career Challenge and DOAXBV over Tomb Raider and I like them both, I'm having much more fun with borh of them then I would have had with TR:AoD. Sure, the graphics might be pretty, but, with the exception of TR2, I don't like Tomb Raider much at all.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Re: Tomb Raider is just....
"That's it? Months and months and years of waiting and anticipation. And that was it?!" - my wife
My wife, Alisha, has been a huge Tomb Raider fan since before we were married four years ago and actually went out and bought this game while we were on vacation in Dallas because she was so looking forward to its release. She managed to knock it out in around 12 hours despite the constant gameplay faults.
Besides the problems already discused in this thread Tomb Raider: AoD also suffers from the worst storyline of any game in the series and a loss of gameplay focus. It seems that instead of sticking to the things that made the series great they tried to take Lara Croft put her into Resident Evil type setting and attempted to make her function more like Solid Snake.
After twenty minutes of play she decided Indiana Jones & the Emporer's Tomb was a better game. Her short review - "This is more Tomb Raider than Tomb Raider was."Comment
