Fellows a well known store in Columbus, Ohio has the game. They are telling people they can't sell it yet, but after a little chat I was able to get it. She was scared because the said someone called with threats of fines. I told her a lot of stores are selling early. Whats even funnier is people were coming in asking for the game and she was telling them no and they went to the back of the store and brought mine back in a brown sandwich/lunchbag. So I do have the 360/PS3 version.

yea, a place in CP has it tomorrow. limited copies though, not sure how available it is (i pre ordered)

Everything I have read they will not ban you for owning a legit copy, only a pirated. They might not be able to tell, so there is a small chance that you will get banned, however as long as you provide proof of having a receipt for the game and the box and such, it will be reactivated immediately.

I do stress that it is a very very small chance.

They will ban the console from connecting to live if it's a pirated copy, otherwise they will just ban your GT for playing early is always what I've heard.

Like I said I've been playing Legit Retail copies early for 2 years and never had a problem. I've never played them until the weekend before release though, usually only because that's when I'm able to pick the games up.

Another poster said he called and they said they had extras (non pre-orders) but you'd have to get there early to get them.

I think they open at 11. I remember this summer I got NCAA early...got there right when it opened. They only had 3 PS3 copies left and were sold out of 360 copies. They sell out fast.

More bad news...
I went to the post office and the game isn't here yet, they said it could be in around noon. I asked if they could re-route it or hold it at the post office since they are going to ship it to my job and I will not be there tomorrow, they said they might be able too, but the problem is, the post office it's going to is close on Saturday. So if it doesn't come in until tomorrow morning, I wont have it until Monday.

Hopefully it comes in today and they can either hold it or it gets sent to me. I don't know of any post offices around here that are closed on Saturday, but the one I pick. I should just had it sent to my house like I was and stayed home tomorrow waiting for it, instead I got greedy and wanted it a day early, now I'm probably SOL. =/

Did you get the tracking #? You got yours out of Colorado right? If you don't have the tracking # then that's what you need to get. I went this route and mine was in my mailbox less than 24 hours. The mailman did not even bring it to my door. He put it in the Mailbox by noon and came back 3 hours later to deliver his normal route for the day. Dookie I would be suprised if you don't get it today.

Earlier in the week they were banning people, but I'm guessing since it's weekend before you'll be safe. They usually stop the bans the weekend before.

I'm talking about Microsoft btw.

I'm assuming this is just an anal MS thing, I have been playing games early for ever now on the PSN network and never got banned.

Why would they ban you for getting a game early anyway, that has nothing to do with MS anyway. If you get a game early then you get it early, it's not our fault as the game buyer, they shouldn't blame us for anything.
