Did Skate 2 come out this year?

I loved that game.

I don't play many shooters, so my game of the year isn't normally the winner of any awards, or even in the conversation for awards.

And before someone looks at my sig and sees that I have MW2, I don't play it that much. I haven't bothered beating the campaign yet. I just don't enjoy it as much as a lot of hardcore shooter fans do.

So this Dragon Age that everyones talking about. Is it as vast a game as oblivion? If not, I aint touching it. From what I've read and observed it seems like its not as open ended as oblivion yes?

Reviews said that the combat was stiff also.

Based on your statements, its definitely is not a game you would like.

Revised my list

1) MW 2
2) Batman
3) Madden 10 (Great turn around for the franchise)

Madden: Great turnaround...not "great" as the core gameplay is still broken on many levels. Is it an upgrade? Absolutely.

In the top 3 games of out this year? No way...

Just my opinion and not saying you're wrong as we each are entitled to our opinions.

Well I based it on something similar. Uncharted 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Dragon Age, and on and on could all get the nod over madden EASY!!!

But the reasoning behind my list is like this. I can't play every game that came out this year. So basing my list on what I played I found madden to have made the biggest jump into a level that made it actually playable and fun. Lets be honest it is the first madden in 5+ years that plays close to the real NFL. Everything from graphics, to play styles, to all the additions like throw styles, kick styles, hand warmers, plenty of cut scenes, etc etc. I think a lot of people over looked all the improvements made by Madden.

So based on what I play and enjoy the most. Madden falls into my top three. Couple of them could of fell into second place but i think batman was the biggest surprise this year. Then MW 2 needs no introduction. Multiplayer for years how can u beat that, great story, and killer Coop.

The williams pinball game gets on my top 3 for sure.

So I'll go with UFC, Forza3 and pinball

it's possible mw2 could make it, but right now i don't like it as much online as waw or cod4 thermal vision, hbs' and unsatisfying maps are keeping it down

I'm still early in Assassin's Creed 2 but I'd place it above the other two big sequels (Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2) and above my previous choice for GOTY, Batman. Modern Warfare's single player is too short (for me); Uncharted 2 has a handful of bare-knuckle perhaps best ever action levels mixed in with a lot of so-so stuff. I think of it being more of a technical achievement. Assassin's Creed 2 seems to mix a bit of Uncharted with the open world feel of Grand Theft, while giving you a little of the you're-a-total-bad azz feeling that Batman gives. I think it's a nice refined effort on the original

So far for me, Uncharted 2 and Assassin's Creed are neck and neck (love them both for different reasons). I still want to get my hands on Dragon Age though.

I think inFamous deserves a vote. I voted UC 2 (haven't played many on the list) but inFamous was just an addicting, time sucking game that I couldn't wait to play.

After finishing AC2, I'd have to change my vote from batman to that. Both great games, but there was just more to do in AC2.

1. UC2
2. Batman: AA
3. MW 2

But, I haven't played Assassin's Creed 2 yet, so I suppose my list could change.

After playing pretty much everything I'll go with Dragon Age PC version as top game. I did play a little of the 360 version and it's just not the same.

Assassins Creed II was awesome at first for me, but just lost steam after awhile. These open world, sandbox type games usually go from awesome to boring for me at a certain point. I don't like much of the Tomb Raider type stuff and the missions just kinda felt like I was doing the same thing over and over. The combat was cool but very easy. I think Batman's combat was 10X better. I just got bored and watched the ending on Youtube.

Batman would be my number 2 game I think. I'm not big into super hero games but that was one of my favorite games ever. I was seriously bummed when it ended.
