Composer Shawn Lee Confirms Bully Sequel

It's been awhile since we last heard of Bully, Rockstar Games' open-ended title set in fictional Bullworth Academy. But now it appears a sequel is on the way from its Vancouver Studio.

Musical composer Shawn Lee, who worked on the first title, confirmed he's currently doing the upcoming soundtrack to the still unannounced sequel.

"Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future," said Lee when asked in an interview with TGL.

Bully was re-released on Xbox 360 and Wii back in 2008 as Bully: Scholarship Edition, but since then there hasn't been much chatter about continuing the series. We hit up Rockstar for a comment and we'll update when we hear back.

A spokesperson from Rockstar Games declined to address the issue, telling Kotaku that "We do not comment on rumor and speculation."

Yesss I still have to finish Bully though..I have had the game twice and never finished it oddly. It was such a fun game though. I think Bully 2 on next gen consoles will be AMAZING.

Yeah I still haven't finished it either.

I wonder what direction they'll go with the story/setting?

I enjoyed the original so it'll be interesting to see how a sequel turns out. I was looking at wikipedia's page on rockstar games and there's a game in development also that has my interest which takes place in the '70s.

I tell you Rockstar Games puts out some very interesting stuff.

Yeah they do. Rockstar is one of the only game companies I could go out on the first day, buy their game and trust that I didn't make a mistake buying it.

Easily my favorite "open world" game. Beat it twice, on PS2 and 360, and loved every minute both times.

Can't WAIT for a sequel.

Just hearing this makes me want to play through it again.... maybe once I'm done with Uncharted 2.

They added four new classes, a few missions, and some unlockable clothes and items.

The graphics were also improved (that's probably a given, though).

let me resurrect this thread.
Rockstar founder Dan Houser had this to say about Bully.

Houser says that they're taking the same approach with their boarding school sandbox game Bully. Bully was developed at Rockstar Vancouver, the same studio currently leading development on MP3.

"So we knew that we didn't want to start doing the Bully sequel instantly at that second with those guys -- even though it is a property that, like Max, we adore and might come back to in the future. There was just no impetus to do that then."

"So we said, 'You can do Max, and then we will see what we can do with Bully.' So it was really waiting for the slot to open up and the group to open up to at least start work on it."

Bully 2 would be a day one purchase for me, loved the first one one the PS2.
