Yeah the guns are much easier to use in every class in MW2. You can pretty much use any gun like its an AR. I can pick people off with RPD from half a level away with my eyes closed. Don't even get me started on how easy the UMP is to use.

The more I play MW2 the more I am inclined to vote for WaW. Nothing against MW2 but I just don't have the desire to have epic online sessions with it like I did with WaW.Lux y VeritasComment

I love the WW2 era guns and setting. I also loved the online stat tracking system that Treyarch used. I really wish IW would have done something similar.Comment

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Vs. Call Of Duty World At War
This is the perfect thread to tell my CoD Gamestop story...
So I walk into Gamestop last month looking to buy World at War. Please keep in mind I am a casual CoD gamer, and even though I have played all of the CoD games besides MW2, I only play the campaign and never ever have played 1 minute of multiplayer (and never will.. but that's another story) Any way...
So I pick WaW off of the used games wall where it was priced at 12 bucks, Score! Walk up to the counter, and the first thing the sales dude says to me is... "You this game F**** sucks right?". Taken back by his comment, I said "Well it's only 12 bucks, I happen to be a big WW2 history buff, and I never play online so I think I'll love it." He looked at me like I had 8 heads and said... "Wait... people actually play CoD for the campaign?". I said "Yes." and asked him kindly to just ring me up.
I'm pretty sure that guy went home that night and told all his MW2 clan members about the weird dude who plays CoD for it's campaign mode, never plays online, and actually prefers shooting nazis with bolt action rifles, as opposed to wasting terrorists with super high tech inane-o machine guns from hell.
In a nut shell... I prefer WaW.2006 - present, NY Mets Season Ticket HolderComment

So, aside from your experience with He-Who-Should-Be-Fired at Gamestop, how do you like W@W?GO 'HAWKS!

Being in customer service since 1983, stories like this always affect me like nails on the chalkboards.I'll spare you all a lengthy rant about the do's and don'ts of customer service/sales however.

That being said, I really enjoyed W@W. I don't get much time to play games during the week, so this one took me about a week and a half to beat and was a lot of fun. I liked jumping back and forth from Pacific battles to the European ones, and I thought a lot of the scripted sequences were a lot of fun. For 12 bucks, I thought it was fantastic! If I would have paid $60, I would have been a little disappointed. Mainly due to the fact the campaign mode is so short, and I don't play online.2006 - present, NY Mets Season Ticket HolderComment

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Vs. Call Of Duty World At War
It would be interesting to see how this poll would look if it was started today. MW2 was such a big let down in its online multiplayer. The poorly designed killstreaks, perks, care packages, nukes, camping, maps, and glitching just ruined this experience. The developers dumbed the game down too much. Thats why the game is liked by the casuals and kids so much.
In world at war the game had a better design for killstreaks. The dogs would seek out campers. It was brilliant. The game relied more on gun play then it becoming an air show. The nazi zombies and co op campaign modes complimented the game so well. It was like having two games in one with the nazi zombies mode. I can see why world at war is the 3rd most played game on xbox live currently with a lot of people going back to it after being dissaponted in with MW2Comment

I guess my only concerns are people getting really proficient with vehicle use and dominating, and that the game is extremely sniper friendly due to the large maps, good cover and backwards kill cams.Last edited by Lieutenant Dan; 02-26-2010, 11:02 AM.GO 'HAWKS!
