Right but you still have to put it in during the first week to get it free. If Gamefly gets it to you by the 5th then you're good.

I forgot to mention the color shuffle mode. It changes all the note colors around but keeps the lanes. So blue can be green or like 3 green notes making up a 3 button chord but you're still hitting the same buttons.

Gamefly shipped this out to me today, so hopefully I have it on Wednesday before I leave for a work trip on Thursday so I can import the Metallica songs......but you said I have till 10/5 correct? I can wait till this thing is cheaper in a month or two to purchase.

Yup first week so 10/5.

Anyone in Canada can go to Futureshop,trade 2 games on the list to get Dead Rising 2 and then exchange that for this. I already did it with NHL 11 because I didn't think the games would be on the list by this time. Not sure why they bother with specifc games if they can just be exchanged. Since NHL 11 was $69.99 I'll end up getting $10 off Iron Man 2 as well.

In the Activision never learns catagorey...not only does it appear not even Canadians don't get the free GH:M import (I'll be calling customer support later to make sure)...this weeks Soundgarden DLC can't be bought in singles and is only available as the full album.

The album that comes with the game minus the on disc Black Rain. It's up now but was pushed off the new releases menu,it's in the in game menu.

I only wanted Outshined and Rusty Cage. Same thing they did with Metallica and I believe Oasis (they released a 3 pack and then the rest of the album with them I think). Yet they wonder why album DLC doesn't sell. (I'm guessing that's why this is only the 3rd)

Reading the IGN review, this game sounds like a total POS.....good thing I'm renting and will wait for this to get really cheap before purchasing since there are songs I want to play from the GH library.

The import is supposed to be free for Canada.
I called customer support and now I'm calling BS. They wanted pictures of the manuals. I told them I only have the code from the Metallica book and on top of that I don't even have anything to take pics with. I told them I could give them the code (previous issue with MS card and that worked out there) but they said it'd be no help. I asked if it'll be fixed by next week while it's still free and they have no idea. If it's a 6 for reviewers already I wonder what they'd knock it down to if they had to deal with this crap. Though all the reps were busy at first and they said it's been trouble all day. It'll be further disaster if it's not fixed while it's still free. The guy didn't even know what was wrong with it and said he was told to just tell people to send the pictures.

And for the ultimate WTF...I tried someone else's code. It still didn't work. Someone else tried it and it worked for them.

I tried to use my Metallica export key today and they are charging $6.00 to use the key..............I thought it was free for the first week. LOL!

I played the beginning of the Quest mode and boy has this series gone downhill imo. They had something good going with GH5 and now they take another step backwards with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

That'd be: 1. Easy. 2. Acessible. 3. Work for everyone without hassle. 4. Make sense. 5. Cause them to miss out on $6 from people that don't know what they're doing like with the online codes in a lot of games.

Supposed to go here: http://hub.guitarhero.com/metallicaimport/ and put in your Metallica AND WoR codes and it's supposed to spit out another one you can use to get the free export. Of course I'm pretty sure there's no notice of that in game or anything.

So how are you finding it a step backwards? Not that it's a big leap forwards but I don't really see much backwards other than some horrible GH III style charting on some songs.

Thanks goh. The problem is that gamefly doesn't send the instruction booklet, so oh well, no free Met tracks. I'll just pony up the $6 to get the songs imported.

The charting seems way off on several songs, so it takes away from the fun. I have a problem w/ some of the setlist when this game is being pushed as a rock/metal genre type. I feel like the realistic look of GH5 was thrown away for these whacky looking characters again which sux. I know they are a staple of the chise, but come on already.

Albeit this, I'll buy this when cheap since there are songs here which won't make RB that I like + I have all exports.
