Heads up on Gamestop 50% more on trade ins when you do 5 - email offer

I get the weekly Gamestop e-mail, and they have a 50% bump in trade in value when you do 5 Wii, PS3, or 360 games. I traded in AC2 and got 48 in credit for it (when you also add on my 10% Edge card value, bumps it up to 60%).

If you've got some games sitting around it's a great chance to get rid of them, I wouldn't get much more for any of the games I traded in via Ebay, and it's more effort.

One of their better trade in deals, figured I'd give everyone the heads up.

I'm having a hard time understanding your post (especially when you say "do 5"). Does this mean if I trade in five of my PS3 games, they will increase the overall trade-in value of my games by 50%?

Unfortunately I only own about five PS3 games...

Correct, you have to trade in 5 games. I usually end up doing this twice a year when I have some old games that have collected....

Off-topic question: When I went to EB Games (which is the same as Gamestop, as far as I know) to buy NBA 2K10 for PC, they refused to make a trade-in deal on my 2K9. They told me they don't accept PC games trade-ins because of serial numbers etc.. Is it the same in the US?

Yeah, I don't think you've ever been able to trade in PC games, at least not in a long time once people could easily copy/pirate games...I could easily buy a game, burn it, and then trade it in...

You have to mod your console and whatnot...Just different compared to how prevalent piracy was on PC back in the day...People pirate consoles now, sure, but your average person isn't gonna pirate on 360 now, whereas back then non techies could burn a game and it'd immediately work on their computer.
