PC games are hard to find

Everywhere I go it's about 80% console games and 20% PC games. Or maybe I go to the wrong stores...? It's becoming hard for me to find some games, even new ones. Does anyone else have this problem?
    My Specs:

    ZX Spectrum
    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
    GPU: Monochrome display
    RAM: 48 KB
    OS: Sinclair BASIC

Best Buy is the only place I go - other than that, I buy them all online now - mostly from Steam.

Target (at least where I live) has a nice selection, as does Best Buy. I agree with Fatigue though, your best bet is to go online if shipping isn't a problem.

That's the thing, I prefer not to buy stuff online. Old school guy here I guess I'll go to Best Buy soon and see what's new...

Act fast!!!!!!! , even though you don't like buying online. Don't blame you, I like looking at my Fallout 3 and Bioshock boxes. Bioshock is like $13 btw I think on here.

Steam is the ultimate destination for playing, discussing, and creating games.

I just bought Mass Effect and Chaos Theory for $9.98

Here is a link for all games under $10 sorted by their metascore - http://store.steampowered.com/search...C&price=0%2C10

Steam is definitely the way to go.

So I went today to Best Buy and Future Shop, and they both had a decent collection of PC games (still, not as much as the consoles). I ended up buying Operation Flashpoint 2...what a game! Run-and-gun-guy going tactical. I keep dying in the 2nd mission...LOL. I'll get better

By the way, the game runs very well on my laptop (medium-high settings).

If you're avoiding buying stuff online you're going to miss out on a lot of games.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Maybe, but if that's the way PC games are being marketed, game companies shouldn't complain that people choose pirating. I'm not suggesting, of course, that pirating is legitimate, I'm just saying that if stores don't have it - someone like me can't BUY it. And I'm certainly not the only one.
Suggesting that avoiding buying online is "the wrong way", just shows you how wrong things are. The real world is outside, not inside the network. Not your fault, that's just the twisted world we live in.

                      But that's me...

Re: PC games are hard to find

You can buy it, just at an online store. It's cheaper for companies to put a game out digitally than to press discs and ship them everywhere, which leads to cheaper prices for people who buy stuff online. It's pretty obvious that you have the internet so there's really no reason to not buy stuff from Steam or another site, if you actually care about playing PC games.

But that's the point. Not everyone buys online, you can count on it. I don't mind them selling online AND in tores, but if it's only online - and I don't buy things online - I'll pass (or...you know...).

Yes there is, I don't like giving me credit card or whatever online - that's my choice. So I have internet, so...? I also have a car and cash...so? Can't I go to stores and buy it there?
It's like I told you: why do you need to go to bars (or wherever you go)? There are tons of onlines dating sites. There's really no reason to go out to meet girls.

Makes me sad that everything is becoming more and more online... The world has gone mad, in my opinion.

You can buy a visa gift card and use that online without any of your information being on the internet. It just doesn't make sense to me to complain about not being able to find PC games when there are reputable sites that have just about any PC game you could possibly want. There is limited shelf space in stores and costs associated with shipping games that isn't worth it for some companies. There's nothing "mad" about it, it's an improvement over not being able to find certain games at all because a store only had three copies.
