      no doubt that's why i've dislikes all the single player modes for the most part. The multiplayer is generally great, but the single player needs a rethink.

      edit...some of it is cool though, like cod4 and 6 endgame and the sniper mission (some of it from 4) and the snowmobile bit with the huge jump that goes slow motion. It's the bulk of the action where there's respawning and it's on rails, it's for reasons i can't articulate right now just a grind to get through.

      I know i'm obsessed with mass effect, but it could be cool if they did a nam game kind of like that imo. (i know this will not happen in the near future)

      the success is probably seen party by the companies as a formula that they see no reason to break.
