Which got me thinking about part 3... (I know, I'm only 9 hrs into part one and I'm already thinking about 3)
What historical era would you like to see the next Assassins Creed take place?
Here are my choices:
1. French revolution era France (1789) - I think this particular time and setting would be perfect. If anyone knows anything about the French revolution, it was a time of great unrest and espionage. Political enemies were being publicly executed on the guillotine daily, everyone was on edge. This could make for an awesome gaming experience, roaming the streets and scaling the rooftops of Paris would be a joy. Not to mention climbing to the top of Notre Dame, or infiltrating the Bastille!
Alternate locations that our assassin can visit during this time could be Chartes, Nice, Bordeaux. It's really endless.
2. Rome (1800s) - Although I think it would be difficult to repeat the Italian setting, it would be hard to top Rome in terms of treasure hunting and scenic beauty. Everything from the ancient ruins to the Vatican, would be fantastic.
3. The Industrial Revolution - London (late 1800s) - This is another era in history that would be chock full of cool gaming elements. Everything from steam powered weapons, to riding on trains, to roaming the dark streets of the 19 century London. It could really take a lot from Sherlock Holmes and work the conspiracy/mystery angle to the max.
Any way, those are my ideas. I'd like to hear what guys think.
