Conviction is my favorite in the series. It is definitely a little more action-oriented, but it's more of a faster paced stealth than anything, if that makes sense. Great game though IMO., and you can pick it up used for like $10.

My favorite too. I don't think I'll ever get rid of Conviction. It seemed to be really under-rated simply b/c it wasn't like the other Splinter Cells. I thought the campaign was pretty awesome. I still play the single player "Deniable Ops" mode.

They just shipped it out to me from Gamefly so I'll get a chance to check it out. Hopefully I'll like what they've done with it. Am I going to need to purchase some sort of online pass to access the Ghost Recon beta from the game?

I stated this shortly after Splinter Cell Conviction came out, and I still stand by the thought that the Deniable Ops contains the best parts of the entire game. Those people who played through the story mode, criticized it because it wasn't exactly like the previous SC games, and then not give any other parts of Conviction a chance just missed out in a big way. It's their loss.

Anyway, I've done all maps in Hunter mode but haven't been able to complete the co-op maps since I haven't been able to team up with anyone long enough to get through them. Plus I still have unfinished business left in several maps from the Land Stand mode.

Might have to pre order this. Played a tiny bit of GRAW 2 awhile ago and enjoyed the experience, so this is definitely on my watch list.

If it wasn't called splinter cell, people would have thought it was a good action game with stealth elements. It is not a traditional splinter cell game at all, but it is not a bad game by any means. Just don't expect Splinter Cell gameplay

Mine too! Me and brother in law play it still. It's a great game IMO.

Yeah if you follow the story it falls pretty well in place with that. Conviction is great.

I have a slight problem with the view not being 1st person completely, but I will give it a fair chance and see how it plays out.

I'll take third person over first person any day of the week, so I'm definitely keeping and eye on this.

the exact reason i want it. Spec Ops the Line, also. im tired of every game being first person.

Supposedly XBOX Gamestop Pre Orders and Splinter Cell Conviction owners will get one or two extra BETA codes to share. I doubt the whole idea of giving away extra codes but if it's true it wold be very cool.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
