    Gamespot Review - 7.5

The superpowered third-person action that was once novel and exciting has turned predictable. New problems arise as well. An overactive camera is a mild irritant, but the biggest issues stem from aimless pacing and suffocating enemy encounters. Infamous 2 is a disappointing sequel, but a solid foundation ensures there are still plenty of thrilling moments. There's no denying the inherent fun in sliding along an electrical wire while shooting bolts of lightning from your fingertips. And a few notable improvements, such as revamped visuals and a robust mission editor, add to the experience. Infamous 2 struggles to reach the lofty heights of its superb predecessor, but wanton destruction and carefree exploration provide good reasons to see how Cole's journey plays out.

I know. But coles body in the player's right handed(character to the left of the screen) position has cole shooting with his left hand. That little quirk feels strange to me. If I flip the screen, it makes the screen lefty and cole righty, but then thats more awkward lol. Im used to Cole shooting with his right hand in when in the right handed screen position in Infamous 1 is all.

Its all good though. It'll be an adjustment.

Lol, this threw me off at first as well, don't feel bad. It doesn't ruin things by any means, but I also don't care for the change, as it definitely makes shooting around corners a little awkward.

What's funny is, if you crouch/hide behind objects, it switches back to the old way.

Ohhh. I didn't even notice that. It'd be nice to see it get changed back though.

That's part of the problem for me. You put so much time in the first one that it's hard to make the sequel feel fresh. I finished the first three missions of the demo and it was fun but I'll probably wait until Christmas to pick this up when I have more time to play and it will be cheaper.

Well i'm still pumped. It's been so long since i've played the first that it will feel fresh again. Nothing like how I got bored with AC: Brotherhood, as I had just beaten AC:2.

Plus, nothing beats an open world, "I'm a freakin badass" superhero game. I LOVE that they don't strip your powers from the first to start the game.

Yah, to me, the city, upgraded visuals, overall tweaks here and there, and a new story are more than enough for me. I had so much fun with the first one that this is exactly what I wanted; more of that, but better.

Maybe I just don't remember the first inFamous very much then. After all, I only played it for an hour (literally, as the trial time expires afterward), and that was some time ago.

Yeah, I don't remember the running being the best in the first game. It was probably my least favorite thing about the game and was why I spent my time jumping/traveling on wires or tracks/jumping along roofs.

Haven't tried the inFamous2 demo, yet, though, so can't compare.

The running is the same as the first one. I was hoping they'd change it and add a little bit of weight to the movement. It's not that big of a deal, at least for me, but it would have been nice to see it changed.

Just downloaded the first for free cause Sony was giving it away for being hacked. I would have posted it in the inFamous thread but didn't see any. Not bad for free!
