I don't think I've ever quit playing a game out of frustration.

EDIT: Well, I've never quit out of frustration, but I broke a good 3 controllers over College Hoops 2k8. lol. I absolutely loved that game, but it frustrated the hell out of me. I've never gotten so pissed over a game so many times in my life.

Also, I broke a couple controllers over Halo 2 playing online. I couldn't STAND losing in that game. I got so pissed every single time I lost. I was really good at that game too. And if anyone plays any of the Halo games online competitively like I did(and still do with Halo 3), you understand how competitive those games are and it's fairly easy to get mad.

Now that I'm a bit older, though, I don't get nearly as mad playing games.

The RC helicopter mission from San Andreas. I think Sony paid Rockstar to put that into the final game since I am sure it lead to a 500 percent increase of controller sales.

I forgot all about that mission.....that was the worst mission in any game.

The original God of War on the hardest difficulty ... I literally quit and gave up trying to protect my family with Kratos. I tried for days until I realized it just wasn't worth it since I had already beaten the game.

I also quit Silent Hill: Homecoming on PS3, but not because it was too hard ... but because of a glitch that locked me inside the church before the final battle. I'd rather fail at beating a game than have to quit because of something like that ... SO frustrating!!

agreed...i tried and tried, and finally traded it in to get tropico 3. i think i'm officially done with madden football.

Probably the most trouble I've ever had with any game.

i will always appreciate the fact that SEVERAL years ago I sent you a memory card (original xbox) in the mail for some rosters. you took the time to help me out, send them back and put a few "extras" on the memory card.

i used to LOVE madden for the old xbox, but i can't stomach it now. i've tried everything and i just HATE this game. i "enjoy" ncaa football, but i'm through with madden. they just need to start over on that franchise...

The first and last time I actually threw my controller was on Madden - 08 I think. My wife was sitting next to me on the coach on her laptop and looked over at me like "are you seriously doing this right now?" I felt like a 12 year old LOL! If there is ever a moment I hated a in animate object, it would be that game.
I was mad - Like, go to it's house and punch it's baby in the face mad.

Zelda Orcaina of time. Jabu Jabu's belly before the time skip...so incredibly frustrating. You make a wrong step and you fall into a hole and start over...jump into the wrong hole and you have to backtrack all the way...
The worst part though is that I could never get out of it. I even went on Gamefaqs and followed a walkthrough step by step, but there was a glitch or something because one particular room just didn't exist.

The engine is still the same one they've been using since the new generation of consoles began.

I've reached the conclusion that if a game needs a lot of slider tweaks,it is essentially broken and not worth the time.
The slider adjustments only mask deficiencies and create new ones.

Games like the Show and Choops 2K8 are examples of games that don't.

Whats the latest Ninja Gaiden on the 360? Is it 4 or 5? Anyway, the 2nd to last boss in the latest Ninja Gaiden game.

The one where you have to shoot arrows into its eyeballs (if I recall correctly) and you keep climbing up to higher levels in the cavern?

Took me a couple of days to finally beat him, and it turns out it wasn't even the end of the game. Had to fight some devil dude after that who teleported all over the place.

After taking so long to beat the cavern boss I just didn't have it in me anymore to fight the damn devil which I could see was probably going to take me as long to beat as the ****in cavern boss.

I took a couple of deep breaths to calm down first. Afterwards, I politely hit the eject button and relegated that disc to the cd case never to touch it again. Its been a 6 or 7 months. I'm done with that ****.

funny you mention this game...i could never get into it. i tried all kinds of slider combinations and could not get anything right. like you said - plug one hold and then create 2 others. and strangely enough, i LOVE nba 2k8...never made sense to me.

I have another nomination. The ****in rally tracks in Dirt2! I absolutely cannot come in better than 7th place on those things. I've had the game for months on end and still no joy, lol.

The regular races like baha, etc, etc I do fine on, but the rally tracks (ya know the point to point with a single car) are WAY too difficult.

I need to see the CPU go through the tracks first so I can get an idea of how to do it, but there's no option to watch the AI do the track.

COD 2 on veteran. I hit a point about 80% through where I have to assault a farm house defended by what seems like infinite spawning enemies. Must have tried over 100 times. I came close once or twice, getting inside and clearing out the first floor, but couldn't get upstairs.
Many many frustrating points before that. Not fun at all. After the pain of playing COD 2 on veteran, I never even tried veteran on the others. I have finished them all on normal though.

Prince of Persia SOT. About 2/3 in there was a wall to wall jump up, but you had a very limited time to make it before the walls separated. That was very frustrating to be stuck there because I was really enjoying the game up to that point, but couldn't finish it.

- Super Ghost and Ghouls
- Maximum Carnage
(yes I know those 2 are older titles but really! The amount of difficulty on some stages in Ghost and Ghouls, and the insanely hard Maximum Carnage game made me almost pull my hair.)
- Demon Soul's dying and starting over from the beginning, to redo everything again....yeah I passed on playing this one out to it's fullest

Oh I forgot to add one, Street Fighter 2 on 8 stars.... M.Bison, and Sagat. Thats all I have to say about that.
