    Re: SOCOM 4

Can anyone help me?!? I dont know if its my move, my sharpshooter, my camera, or my system?! This is my first experience with move but while playing socom with the SS it will be great than prob anywhere from 30 min to an hour or so into the game it will all of a sudden say "a motion detector is not detected." Then the aimer wont be controlled by motion anymore, i cant go into the pause menu and recalibrate? and the only way i can get it back working is going to calibrate in the XMB menu which makes me quite socom!

I cant have this happen out on the battlefield! please help :-/

I've had this happen when I play too far away from the camera or if the Move looks away from the camera for too long. If you pause the game (hitting the Start button), you can recalibrate the Move within the game as well (the same procedure that you go through when you first boot the game up). I forget what button it is, but I know I've seen it before. See if you can recalibrate within the game.

Stop running and taking cover behind the couch! LOL

Ok, serious... have you made sure that your camera is set to "wide" mode? Also, as Smiley said, you may be moving outside of that calibrated range. And yes, you can recalibrate in game (where you shoot at the arrows on the edge of the screen)

          Hope this helps.

                          cant help it! haha

I do know about the in game calibration but its wierd because when the issue does occur my move controller will get turned off and then when i turn it back on the buttons work (i can still shoot from the sharpshooter trigger) but not the motion. Then when i go into the pause menu to recalibrate, the option does not appear. Its very frustrating because the only way ive seen to get it back is like i said to quit and calibrate in the XMB.

i just play while sitting in a chair right in front of my TV, which is on a raised TV stand (prob 4.5 feet off the ground) so i am always looking up at the screen. If i had to guess i would say the move is prob 2.5-4 feet from the eye camera (wide mode is where u turn the lens to the right correct??)

                          Thanks again for any help!!

Sounds like a controller synching issue... I'm assuming you have sufficient charge on both the Move and Navigation controller? Another thing is to check is that they are assigned to ports 7 and 6, respectively.

ok i give up... i tried playing again today and my move did the same thing

i'm aiming right at the eye the entire time, and it works great for about 10 minutes now and then the move controller gets turned off and the message 'a motion controller is not detected' even when I power the move back on. The battery says full!

I don't know if the move, the sharpshooter, the eye? I bought them all in the package and need to return something?? I was thinking of just trying to exchange the move without anything else? Will this help?

                                Thanks :-/
