just depends on the way you play the game...I'm one of those who go through slowly and complete everything in an area before moving on, but I could see how you might want to go back if you skipped a tomb or two or something...

I just happened to land on a planet, and have someone say "hey carth, what up" basically, and tell him his son didn't die. I think to get even that far you need to talk to your friends a lot more, cause I had to work with carth to get him to open up. I'd do it, cause there are other little things like that which'll make things interesting. I've gotta get better at swoop racing too, the second tier in Manaan was just frustrating me, trying to hit enough boosters without crashing, I eventually gave up cause I wanted to move on.

I didn't swoop race in any other planet other than Taris. I played Pazzak in Taris and another time in Manaan and that was it. I wonder if those things lead to other things. (other than money)

well, swoop racing is mostly money, but I think there was one really tiny side thing on Tatooine, where you had to be the best racer so you'd have influence on someone.

I'm not sure on pazaak, I played it when I really really needed money, but i never got that good at it.
