you guys mentioned force resist, but what other jedi powers would be good for fighting Malak? I don't want to load up on cool dark side powers, and find out that none of them work on Malak. Especially since I'm a scoundrel/consular which means my saber fighting won't be as good as a soldier/guardian by far

Re: KOTOR Power up strategy and other questions...
The problem is I am a darkie. But now that I look back on it, there were times that I did avoid a fight, because of my stealth capabilities. I figured I would sneak into an area access a computer or footlocker and I would leave without anyone knowing. Now I know that if I would have duked it out I may have leveled up a bit more, thus making me more powerful.
The only problem with going back on a save is that the last save that I have that would take me way out of the final battle is Juhani. I'd rather start a new one than go that far back. (Why the hell did I delete all those saves?)
If I don't beat him tonight I guess I'll have to try again. Does it suck? Yes and No. I think it is extremely cool to know that the decisions you make will affect the outcome (or lack there of) of the game. On the other hand if I've put as much time in a game as I have in this one, I should be given a chance to finish it.
All this could go away with a few good rolls tonight... We'll seeComment

Re: KOTOR Power up strategy and other questions...
I didn't have luck with many force powers on Malak. I got a death field to work once or twice (I think), but it was far more successful just to stand toe to toe and lock sabers with him. If you keep him bashed (critical strikes can actually stun sometimes), you can knock him down. I was never really at risk of death in that fight, but it will be an entirely different experience this time, I'm sure...since I'm a scoundrel/consular myself now.Comment

None of my force powers worked on Malaak (in the first or second fight) and I have a few that are pretty good. I'm a scoundrel/guardian. I know the next time around I'm going to go with the things that will not allow him to suck the life out of me.Comment

Re: KOTOR Power up strategy and other questions...
i didn't have the dragon pearl (was light, so you use it for something else), but i had mostly ones that greatly increased attack and damage, but also the one that had the dark jedi damage increase....kinda tough choosing the right combo, especially now that I'm gonna wield a single saber this timeNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
