          Hmm looks interesting....

Personally I think the whole Gauntlet+Grim Hunt year long story in ASM would be prime for a video game treatment.

Maybe they'll do that next time around.

                IGN Hands-on

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions isn't just about fighting. As you play through these levels, you're going to be collecting spider tokens, earning performance medals and working on each level's 15 challenges. While you're doing this, you earn XP so that you can unlock new moves for Spider-Man's repertoire. Now, your combat progression will carry over from universe to universe, so if you're getting more powerful before doubling back to 2099 (you choose the order of the universes in each act), expect future Spidey to have some new tricks when you suit up once again.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is going to pack 13 levels – or about three for every universe – and each one of those is built around an individual villain. Before today, the developers have only been willing to talk about Norman Osborne and Hammerhead in Noir, Scorpion and Hobgoblin in 2099, and Kraven in Amazing, but now, they're expanding on who makes up the 13 baddies in the game. You can add Vulture to Noir's roster and Carnage and Deadpool to Ultimate's. Each one of these villains is going to be recognizable to Spidey fans, but the tablet fragments have made the bad guys even more powerful.

Personally, I'm excited for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions – and that's after being a bit "meh" on it. When the title was announced, I worried about this Spider-Man tale would become just a button masher. I'd still like to know if the tale will feel like a webhead story, but after playing Noir and Ultimate, I'm not too worried about getting bored switching between universes. Sure, the Ultimate gameplay was just me switching between heavy and light attacks, but it was a blast.

The variety in gameplay and art styles in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was perhaps the most attractive aspect of Beenox's take on Marvel's super hero. While some of the gameplay felt familiar and even hampered by technical quirks, like that Noir camera, the fan service and solid mechanics—beating down foes felt good, web swinging did its job—should keep in any Spider-fan's radar.

This was the least interesting part of the demo for me as it felt a bit out of place and wasn't really all that cool. It was stiff and took me out of the moment.
Why would they put something like that in the game? That sounds awful and like something that would completely ruin the experience.

Neil Patrick Harris Voicing Amazing Spider-Man

Activision has announced that actor Neil Patrick Harris will be reprising his role of Spidey as he voices Amazing Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The actor joins Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes, and Dan Gilvezan, actors who will be voicing the other versions of the wallcrawler--Ultimate, Noir, and 2099.

Superfans might recognize those names, but here's the deal for everyone else. Harris played Spider-Man in 2003's Spider-Man: The New Animated Series; Keaton voiced the character in 2008's The Spectacular Spider-Man; Barnes took on the role in 1994's animated Spider-Man; and Gilvezan was Spidey in 1981's Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. In addition to those actors, Marvel legend (and Spider-Man creator) Stan Lee will be providing the voice of the game's narrator.

It's pretty cool that Activision has gathered together all these actors, no matter how relatively obscure some of them might be. I wonder if 2099 Spidey will almost have his secret lair (and secret identity) blown by Aunt May when she dusts his trophy collection. Probably not.

This game looks amazing but for some reason...doesn't look fun at all too me.

                      Just a gut feeling.

The game looks awesome. I doubt the have the open world feel though as the Spiderman movie game series did though which may steer me away from buying it.

Not sure how it plays in with the game but in the Marvel Universe he got it from Tony Stark right before the Civil War started.

Personally I like the suit. I just reserved my copy on Amazon to get the Iron costume and art book. I'll have it come release day.

The concept to this game caught my eye and has put it on my radar for games to look out for, I'm not completely sold on it though seeing how most spider-man games aren't really good, but I will wait and see with this one, I hope they give us a demo to try it out.

There hasn't been a good one this generation so I'm praying this comes through. As a huge Spider-man fan I can't pass on this but I'm hoping for solid gameplay and a great story.

I enjoyed Web of Shadows to a certain degree though. The lag and glitches got tiresome though.
