I've seen this game so many times on clearance in Target or sitting for cheap in some random store but haven't been able to pull the trigger. I didn't even know it had a multiplayer mode. But if the single-player is somewhat decent and multiplayer is fun I might have to pick it up next time I see it. Any recommendations on which system to get it for or are they both about the same?

I buy everything on XBOX due to Live and the controller. My PS3 is only used for BR and Uncharted.
If you love Bond, the game is an easy 7 to an 8. The single player is about 8 hours and covers both Craig movies.
The multiplayer is not better than COD 4-6, but it is a good changeup from the others here and there and the community is still strong.Comment

Still has some of the best maps in the entire series.
Pretty hardcore,as it is 4 vs. 4 and there aren't classes,perks,etc.
The weapons are very balanced;there's no uber-weapon people abuse.
There are still some dedicated players out there;if you get hooked up with some, the game is great.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

The meat of the game is the underrated online, which has it's own charms. Golden gun is awesome, and territory control is fun with the cover system. Even everyone using the overpowered auto shotguns is enjoyable. I got the platinum on the ps3 version, but the 360 version is cheap enough for a purchase as well.Comment

If you're looking for a cheap FPS it's damn hard to do better than the first F.E.A.R. game. Scare the **** out of you.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

The single player mode is way shorter than 8 hours, and it is like 80% Casino Royale content. If you must play it, just blow through it once on the highest difficulty, which is incredibly easy anyways.

I remember playing the F.E.A.R 2 demo, but wasn't really hooked.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Do people still play CoD2...lol?
I got bored with the first FEAR game 1/2 way through it but plowed on.
COD2 is still my favorite COD online. Great maps and no perks and kill streaks to upset balance.
You try Gears of War 1 or 2 yet?Comment

Re: Do people still play CoD2...lol?
I looked up a few videos on YouTube and I'm fairly impressed. Here's one that I checked out most recently -- 007 Montage. While graphically it isn't on the level of COD of BC2, it just looks fun-- which is all that I'm really looking for these days.A negative mind will never give you a positive life.

Absolutely loved the first, not so much the second.

THIS. These two are exactly the reasons you guys have peaked my interest in this game. I think I can deal with kills not boosted by perk and killstreaks. I kind of grew out of MW2 because it just seemed like everything was run by kill streaks and perks, perks and kill streaks...you get the point. That is why too I was drawn to BC2. I love the fact you can do other things to get points besides rack up kills. I am by no means good these shooters but I still want to have fun. In addition, given the fact 007 could be had for cheap is even better.
