WOW. Those shotguns look like they do hella damage. Are there any guns/weapons that are considered overpowered in this game? How do upgrades, i.e. red dot sites etc. work?

The cover system looks so useful in the game. I imagine after playing using the cover system it might feel like something is missing when you play other FPSs.

I still have COD2 too.
All we'd need is 6-8 guys to play some team based games online.
There are even a couple of small maps that are good for deathmatch with 3-5.

I bought CoD2 yesterday, and man it was an amazing purchase. Picked it up for under 20$ used and I was having the time of my life. Loads of people still playing, the maps (Toujane in perticular) are amazing. I love how it's just you and your gun. No perks or killstreaks. Only thing that can get a bit annoying is the amount of people who snipe. People who think they're Hutch or OpTic or whatever.

But if we could get some guys together from OS and play some games, this would be awesome! I'm on the 360 and my gamertag is: Sinist3r Alex.

the auto shotgun is pretty overpowered when you pair it with a faster rate of fire and double damage gadget. Another powerful gun is the magnum when you put a scope on it, lots of long range instant kills. You have a certain number of slots to allocate gadgets or upgrades. You can have stuff like a bigger clip, more body armor, detect mines on your radar, etc..and there's plenty of variety. Lots of folks just run around with a powered up auto shotty though.

The cover system is great, and it's the CoD engine. It makes it hard to jump into MW2 online, because there's cover everywhere you can't use. The crouch or peeking around corners just doesn't cut it anymore. I hope Treyarch adds cover to their CoD game this year.

Flank the snipers and take them out.As you learn the maps this gets a bit easier.The rooftops of Toujane can be pretty intense

Oh I've flanked many many times

And yes, Toujane is very hectic, especially in deathmatch. One of the best maps I've honestly ever played on.

Hey guys! Picked COD2 up on Tuesday for $11. Finally got a chance to sit down and play yesterday evening and I must say I had an absolute blast! I was lost as all get out trying to learn the few maps I played on, needless to say, but that just made it easier to shoot anything I saw moving, lol.

I played the random mode which I guess would be equivalent to Free For All, one game of search n destroy, and couple games of team deathmatch. But other than being left alone to go 1 on 4 in search n destroy after my teammates started quitting after getting killed, I can honestly say after playing for a couple hours it was really a refreshing COD experience. No perks, no killstreaks...just me and my gun vs you and yours. No customizing weapons with this setup or that attachment, just pick your axis, pick your gun and get out there!

It was just fun. On the noob side I did find myself trying to sprint away when getting shot several times, lol.

Atomic I already have you on my friend's list, but if there are any other OSers that have COD2 be sure to hit me with a request (Sixty5South) and I'll be doing my best to add you guys as well. I also found Quantum of Solace for $7 and should have that in a few days as well, so let me know if you have that too.
