Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

Yeah, i'm patiently waiting for the Commando. I'm level 41 now, so only 3 more levels to unlock. I picked it up off a dead enemy in one game, and went on like a 7 kill streak before dying.

As of now, i'm still feeling the Galil. I did have a few good games with the AK47 w/ suppressor, but it seems to have less kick with the suppressor off, so i'm gonna give that a shot in my non Ghost class.

Depending on the map, i'm swapping between the AK74u and Galil most of the time. We'll see if the Commando replaces the Galil.

Also, if you want a guaranteed good start on Array, make sure you have the Crossbow. If you start on the side opposite the dish, run through the building on the left, out the door, and fire your crossbow at the jeep up at the choke point. The other team ALWAYS funnels to that spot, especially on Domination, and they have a tendency to peek out over the jeep and try to get easy long distance kills. I started off a game 4-0 about 10 seconds in using that strategy. The next game, Array got voted on again, so I did the same thing and got 3 kills. As soon as I shoot the Crossbow, I book it to the opposite side of the dish and attack the opposing team from behind.

Had two AWESOME games on Array last night with this strategy.

I like the AK47 but without the suppressor. I use it with Dual Mags.

I have at least 300 kills with every assault rifle so I'm currently working on the Famas trying to get it to 500 kills.

I now have Ghost Pro on all my classes. I hate when the enemy has a spy plane in the air, and I watch the killcam and see their muzzle following me as I turn a corner, and they are just waiting for me.

A lot of the new people rely too much on the mini-map so they aren't expecting you when you pop up using Ghost Pro, it makes for easy kills. I've also had people run right by me when I have Ghost Pro.

Just went 88-11 in the three morning games I played. Never realized there were so many bad people on this early in the morning.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

I use ghost pro and no supressor with the famas and the commando. I use ghost pro with a suppressor and the Galil. I also use marathon, light weight and sleight of hand with a suppressed ak74u.

Different setups for different maps. The marathon one works great on villa, firing range and a few others. What I notice is that you can get away with no suppressor if you have ghost pro, and use a supressor without it if you are moving around and tough to hit.

The slowest setup i have is the galil suppressed. So for that i am completely off the grid with both ghost and suppressor. I feel like this system of thought is a great way to approach different maps.

If you use ghost pro and a supressor all the time, you will not have the red dot scope available or you will have to use warlord. I feel like sleight of hand is so valuable that it is worth going unsupressed in certain classes just to have it.

just looking at these post tons of people on here play regular and not hardcore matches.

I know what everyody going to say hardcore mode is a camp fest or whatever. I can't stand regular mode anymore it takes to many bullets to kill people and don't let them have final stand u mines well use the whole clip for one kill. Only time I play regualr death match now is when im trying to get some xp points real quick.

Hardcore mode now is not that bad now that I know the maps I have played enough to know the typical camping spots. The key to hardcore mode is playing with people you know so you talk with each other so you can call out spots where the enemies is at.

Exactly........supressor works wonders for guns that have a lot of kick. The supressor keeps them from kicking. Now I just light people up with ak47 with the supressor full blast.

Suppressor works wonders for the Commando too. To bad the G11 can't be supressed. Oh I like the M-16 supressed as well.

A suppressor is far more valuable than a red dot for me. I can pick people off that are just tiny specks on the other side of the map with the iron sights on most of the AR's. If I go without a suppressor it seems I get shot in the back 2 seconds after every kill I get.

The M16 is already too weak so I don't like it suppressed.

I only use the suppressor on the FAMAS, SPAS, Commando, and Galil.

A lot of newbies are playing with their Christmas copies of the game. There are a lot of unbalanced beatings right now.

I don't like it (M16) in general. When I prestige I use the MP5. I can hit people at range better with it.

I had an AWESOME crossbow kill last night on Demolition at Array. Enemy was up at the top of that one sniper tower, and I managed to stick him from a mile in a half away. All skill! (By which I mean, I fired in the general direction and got lucky)

Just prestiged, luckily my cousin is around to do well those first early rounds. I HATE just about every gun early. The Enfield is my best bet, but it's too weak and loses those 50-50 battles. I usually wait for the Galil, the only downfall is I despise the Galil's iron sights and have to use dot to get it to work. (I'm an extended mags type of guy)

Eventually I'll get the AK47 and the Commando and I'm good.

Neither am I. I stopped playing about 2 weeks after the game came out.

It's not that it's terrible or anything, but something about it turns me off. I don't know if it was the maps or just CoD in general that turned me off, but I ended up trading it in last week to get NCAA 11 and don't regret it.

I might end up getting into BC2 again though. I don't think I gave that game a fair look.

Haha I hate the Famas, its my least favorite assault rifle.

Which is interesting because everyone seems to have there own favorite gun. There isn't one or two guns that everyone thinks is better than the rest, which is a good thing. They really got the assault rifle balance in this game.

Yeah Hardcore levels the playing field for people who can't shoot. Why would I want to give up the shooting advantage I have over most people? I get kills all the time against people who shoot me first but can't finish me off because the just don't have the accuracy.

It also negates one of the biggest skills in the game that nobody ever seems to mention. Knowing when NOT to shoot. If you don't have enough of a corridor to get the kill then don't fire your gun. In HC it doesn't really matter cuz you can still get the kill in even the narrowest of corridors.

And if you are using a whole clip to kill people in last stand you are doing it wrong. All you have to do is stop shooting for half a second and then fire one more bullet
