Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

My advice is take off the suppressor and change perk 2 to Slight of Hand.
I find that suppressors decrease the damage. I know it doesn't show any sign decrease it damage on the Gun Attributes, I've always struggled to kill people with a suppressor since CoD4.

I've finally given in to the AK-74 as I was getting annoyed by how quickly I was getting killed by it and how many people were using it. Got to fight fire with fire I guess. The last 8 games using the AK my K/D ratio has been 4.00, 4.22, 5.38, 3.29, 2.62, 1.52, 6.67. The two games before I started using the AK I finished with a K/D of 0.82 and 0.94. To me that is a big difference.

Here is the setup if you want to give it a shot:

      AK 74 w/Grip & Rapid Fire
      M1911
      Frag
      Nova Gas
Tactical Insertion (I don't care about equipment much)
      Scavenger Pro
      Warlord Pro
      Second Chance Pro

        Suppressors decrease damage over distance.
The green line is the damage when suppressed.

Yeah for those struggling to get kills with suppressors, get closer and you will be fine. OR simplely aim for their head instead of their torso and you will be fine.

It's funny I have my best games whenever I just prestiged. I prestiged last night to start my 4th one and my K/D was always above 2.00 each match easily. about 75% of my matches I was getting over 20 kills running and gunning with crapy guns and all of this was on HC mode which I find more difficult to play then regular.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

It amazes me how horribly lopsided just about every match is. In one day I had back to back beast matches (20-0, 19-1) and then later I ended up 2-17.

Demolition is even worse. It only spawns you on one side, and even though the entire team was STANDING on our spawn, it didn't bother putting us on the other side, so it was insta-death.

The matchmaking is BRUTAL. I feel like if I do well solely depends on the team I'm against. I had a good stretch of 20-30 positive matches, but then had a streak of negatives. Then I got in a group so lopsided that I actually set Blackbird/Chopper Gunner/Dogs and GOT it.

I'm at the point that if I join a group, I make sure to look at the scores to make sure I'm not with a bunch of 500 guys against 4 different dudes that were 15-0 the last round.

I love flanking people. Summit is a great map for it when everyone goes to the center building. I climb up the ladder on the side of the building and get 3 or 4 easy kills at least once a match.

Firing Range is another great one - people rarely watch the back dirt path up. Everyone focuses on the trailer/two buildings.

i have found that using the Hardened perk when i have a suppressor on a gun adds some punch back into it.

I've been thinking about running an Anti-BS class, thoughts on this?

Flak Jacket - less deaths to random grenades, ability to combat noobtubes even though they aren't as common in this game, and if you stumble upon a Claymore you can still live/

Hardened Pro - no flinching when shot, helps with accuracy when being shot upon, also there are many deaths where your crosshairs just jump wildy up in 1-1 situations while being shot.

Tactical Mask Pro - helpful on small maps where people like to spam Flashes, and Stuns they will have a very reduced effect on you.

I'm already using this set-up, except I use SoH instead of hardened.
