Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

Got to level 31 in zombies today, and it only took 2 1/2 hours! Finally got in with some guys that knew what they were doing (aka weren't idiots like 99% of the people that play it), and we did work. I wound up with something like 1100 kills.

Furthest I'd gotten with 4 people was 26, and that was with camping. This time we just had good communication and were constantly moving. Believe it or not the guns I used for the last few rounds was a non-upgraded M40 and Zeus Cannon.

I know most people on here don't like/don't play zombies, but man that was honestly one of the most satisfying things I've accomplished in any of the Call of Duty games. Nothing else compares to the amount of teamwork it takes to get that far and be successful.

For the first time in ~200 matches I ran into some boosters. Playing TDM, they were on opposite teams and kept going to the one warehouse on WMD(the one at the end of the map near the C spawn. I'd go over there and they'd kill anyone who went in there. They had tactical insertions so IDK what the deal was there. The one guy ended up with a 0/14 K/D and the other had something ridiculous like 20-1, me being the only one to kill him apparently.

I don't get how people who play like that have fun.

We ran into boosters on Nuketown the one night during a HC TDM run. The one set of split screeners on our team just kept setting up tactical insertions in the one house, forcing the other team to spawn with us and basically annihilate everyone/everything. The other team would kill the split screeners and they'd spawn, reset their tactical insertions and die again.

My first (and so far only) game of Barebones Team Tactical that I ever joined was a boost-fest on Summit. It was a 2-on-2 game of Demolition and the other three dudes in the game just kept planting and defusing the bomb over and over again. Once I figured out what they were doing I just sat back and annihilated the guys on the other team. I think I ended up with 100 kills or so before I got bored and left the server. Good times.

Yeah I haven't come across any boosters either. I kinda miss finding boosters though and ruining their circle jerk.

They do it so they can cheat their way towards challenges, especially for the Pro Perks. Like they'll set up a motion sensor and blow up each others Claymores for Hacker Pro, or they'll try and get a Sentry gun and destroy it for Ghost Pro.

Or they just do it to get Experience, and high kills streaks. I'm going to assume if you need to seriously boost you are not very good at the game. Yes some of the Pro Perks take some time to acquire, but it's nothing too difficult you can't do from normally playing through the game.

I seriously cannot destroy a sentry gun to save my life. I have Hacker Pro, SOH Pro, and am THIS close away from Ghost Pro. Every time I see a sentry gun someone else shoots me or one of my teammates destroy it before I can get there. Plus, most of the people that I have played against rarely get one.

Highly annoying, because that's all I need for Ghost Pro.

Round 31 looks like nothing when you first look at it, due to the fact that getting to the later rounds in CoD: WaW was much easier. It really is hard though. I got to Round 30 something on Five, I don't think I'll ever dedicate that much of my time playing zombies again.

Did you have friends or were they random guys? It's so much easier having guys you can trust and have some idea of what to do. That's why I only ever play zombies with my two friends.

                        Congrats buddy.

Try getting them yourself and giving them to the enemy. Its your best shot since they are pretty rare.

Throw a flashbang at one and then run over and knife it. Or toss a semtex in its direction. You'll get it soon enough it's not too difficult.
