I'm going to need to start trying out weapons I've never used before to see if I can still do good with something other than the Famas/Galil/Commando.

Since I prestiged my K/D is up to a 2.85 (from 2.69), my W/L is up to a 1.34 (from 1.18), my accuracy is up to 20.51% (from 20.01%) and well, just about everything has seemed easy.

I'm up to 4052 kills with the Commando, over 3000 with the Galil, 10741 total. I really don't know what's going on, I've never felt this "good" at a FPS shooter before.

Dude, those stats are insane.

I agree with the Commando. I've been doing great with it. I think my K/D with the Commando is like 1.40 or 1.50, and the next closest weapon is the Galil at like 1.20 or something. Those numbers are astronomically good for me.

I'd recommend trying out some quick SMG's (Skorpion for example) for a different style of play, and to keep things fresh. Maybe switch up your perks as well.

I have found that people aren't as good at COD as I always thought. I'll be in games with everyone above rank 40 (i'm a 47), and despite my team getting slaughtered, my K/D is always in the 1.2 to 2.0 range for my worst games. Other guys are pulling games like 5 kills and 19 deaths. I never played COD before because I thought i'd be so outclassed, but thankfully that's not the case.

Haven't been having much fun the last week. Bad internet doesn't help. It feels like none of my bullets register half the time, and I'm sick of getting killed non-stop by noobs with the rapid fire/grip 74u (WAAAAAAAY overpowered, Grip shouldn't make anything that steady)

The AK-47 has been been my best, but it doesn't seem to kill anyone anymore. I tried the Stoner and have no luck with that. Might give the Commando a shot, I don't want to go back to the Galil particularly. Might try hardened pro to see if it helps me get a few extra kills.

They are supposedly nerfing the Grip on the 74u.. so that the reticule re-center time is a bit more unstable.

As for the Connection issues I feel your pain, although I'm sure all of it is not entirely your fault it seems like 1 out of every 10 hosts is actually a decent host where most people have 4 bars. I don't know how they determine the matchmaking in Black Ops but it seems like there are a lot of unstable hosts; With most of the lobby in Yellow Bar. (I was actually in a lobby where everyone had a yellow bar, and the host would switch between yellow, and a light green 3 bar) Ugg.

Why?

I love when enemies use it and I get a free kill out of it. I use Hacker Pro a lot so it's easy to spot a TI. Nothing like killing an enemy, and killing them again right away.

Especially since half the time after they get killed twice they run back to the same spot they originally planted it at just to do it again.

there is a video on ign showcasing the 4 dlc maps - they look really cool and at least 2 maps contain long sightlines

the video is on the front page, so I wasn't sure how to embed, go check it out though - the shanghai ziplines look cool, i wonder how often they get used.

The zip line looks pretty pointless to me. Looks like it takes you about 50 feet.

I agree, looks like something you use once, get shot off of for being so open, then never use again.

Yes. And even if it is useful, that would lead to snipers and others just watching the zip line and picking people off, which would ultimately make it worthless.

I am going to make it my COD goal to zipline down behind someone while holding a crossbow or an M60 and knife them without them realizing it.

This is likely the patch that is changing up Second Chance, AK74u, and RC-XD that was mentioned here.

While working with some key and helpful members of the PS3 Call of Duty community directly, we were:

- able to find and fix a common hard freeze (technically a crash)
- improve the connectivity and reliability of connection between players (which has many cascading side effects seen in various ways when in the game)
- fix an issue where a party joining a lobby would not have the entire party make it if the lobby did a host migration
