^ Slumps happen in video games just like anywhere else. I'd recommend going back to the basics. Use simple KSs like use UAV/Counter/Napalm, use basic guns like AK47/74u with RDS and use something like scavenger/sleight of hand/second chance(or something that isn't marathon or ninja)

Map Pack worth purchasing?? I watched a couple Youtube video's and the maps looked pretty good.

This is a better pack than either of the packs for MW2.Kowloon is great,Berlin Wall is right behind,and Stadium and Discovery are as good as at least half of the maps on the disc.

While window camping is annoying,there are multiple routes into every room.
You may get some kills in your window,but you are just as likely to get a knife in the back.

Are you getting away from your trigger discipline? Sometimes I find myself holding down the trigger and spraying rather then effectively bursting my shots at medium to long ranges... and I have to tell myself to stop doing that.

Also sometimes it's better to not just shoot at anything you see, if you don't have a clear shot at a guy it's better not to shoot... even with a silencer if you miss your shots and the guy ducks out and get's behind cover... he's aware someones shooting at him and a lot of times he will have the upper hand. In those situations don't chase them around a corner because they have the advantage of knowing someone's after them and you don't know where they are.

Thanks for the tips. I think that the trigger discipline has been my biggest problem. I was playing great and then took a break over a 4-5 day period and since then have been awful. I think I've just been spraying instead of effectively using bursts of bullets. I used to win 1-on-1 matches the majority of the time but lately I've lost almost all of them.

he's aware someones shooting at him and a lot of times he will have the upper hand. In those situations don't chase them around a corner because they have the advantage of knowing someone's after them and you don't know where they are.

I can't tell you how many times I know exactly where a player is behind a corner, and I go right around and pump him full of lead but yet he somehow kills me.

At least 2-3 times a game for me.

I still love the game, but when the March flood hits, the game will probably be out of my rotation. The frustration that hits too often isn't worth it anymore.

Ever since I changed to playing Hardcore TDM my ratio has jumped to at least 2.0 while on regular I was getting 1.0 on a good day. I know its more of a 'camp' style on Hardcore but to me its better than running around, shooting someone 10 times & still not die...

Ever since I changed to playing Hardcore TDM my ratio has jumped to at least 2.0 while on regular I was getting 1.0 on a good day. I know its more of a 'camp' style on Hardcore but to me its better than running around, shooting someone 10 times & still not die...

I wish I could get into HC mode but I can't. I think it levels the playing field too much. The last match I played on HC I was killed 3 times by an enemy who was in last stand with one shot from their M9. Also it seems the spawn system is worse in HC. Someone killed me yesterday, I respawn in almost the same spot I die and they killed me again. This was on WMD.

I do enjoy getting one shot one kill with my shotguns and not pumping 3 shots into someone and they still not die, but I think i'll stick to core for now.

I've also been playing like crap lately. The last week or so I've been having 12-12, 10-12, type matches. I'll kill someone and then immediately die after. I think it was because I was playing too fast and not being as disciplined. Today I went back to the way I usually play, which is at a slow pace and averaged 25 kills and less then 10 deaths.

Is there a trick to getting far in Zombies on solo? Somehow my friend got 36 rounds, and I struggle to get to 10.

That last game sucked, Wazzu. Our teammates were terrible...5/15, 3/16....ridiculous.

You kicked my *** that first game I played against you, 4-0, but that was fun. We'll have to catch up for a few more games at some point.

Yeah that last game was brutal. Good games though for sure, we'll play again soon. I was actually on lunch break and had to take an "extended" break to play a few more games. Luckily work is only 5-10 minutes away and our hours are lenient this time of year so I can sneak away for more than an hour if I want.

Still spraying and praying too much instead of using short bursts, judging by the last couple of games. Trying to work on my Famas skills lately too.

Same here. I played HC 90% of the time in WAW, never played it in MW2, and have maybe played 20 matches in Black Ops.

I like that it's much more quiet and more tactical, but I feel like it doesn't matter what weapon/attachments I use because a couple shots with a SMG from across the map and the enemy is down.

I got at least 15 kills with a Sentry Gun today. Match was CTF on Array and I placed it by the choke point near the jeep. They just kept on running in the choke point and getting slaughtered.

Agreed. I used to play a fair amount of hardcore on MW/WAW, but I hate it in MW2 and Black Ops.

The kill times got to a point where they are so fast (especially in MW2) that hardcore is just ridiculous.

I bought the map pack and outside of combat training I haven't played them online yet due to the guys I typically play with not having it yet. How do the maps play?
