Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

i havent post in this thread in a couple of months but back then i was telling people hardcore mode is where it's at. I takes to much to kill a person in regular mode. I have been a beast on HC mode since this game came out.

My win to loss ratio is a 2.85 I refuse to play with a team of randoms. I have 20 friends i play been playing COD with since COD 4. We know how each other play so we win a lot. We have code names for buildings and locations so we stay on our toes.

you know, i used to play HC exclusively in Cod4 and about 50/50 in MW2. I haven' touched it once in Black Ops. I have no clue why either. Maybe because i'm having too much fun with my Stakeout and Sniper class, the latter since the new maps anyway.

Hardcore, in my opinion, makes this game sooo much fun, because it's more "strategy" than just "running around and firing-at-will"...

I have MUCH more fun when I play with a group that's more "team-based" by watching your back, etc....not to be confused with just "camping" - that's not team-play at all.

It took me a while to play on Hardcore, because I never know if I killed someone, because there wasn't a "point score" when he dies...

Since COD4 Came out, The only game type I usually play is HC.. It's the game mode I have the most fun and Also takes some strategy with it.. It's better with a group of people to play with.

On Black ops, I usually just play HC SND or HC Capture.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

I've gotten back in as of yesterday, but all I've been playing is Sharpshooter on wager match. I feel the smaller map and having only 6 people helps eliminate a lot of the bad hit detection, and it evens up the game so you don't see nothing but 74u rapid fire.

My only gripe, the random guns aren't that random it seems. It feels like there are 2-3 rounds of some sort of dual wield (BOO!) a game, and a lot more pistols and SMGs than anything else.

Then again, when Assault rifles that aren't the M14 or F'N FAL show up, I tend to struggle. I guess I'm getting decent with the bad guns no one uses. I do admit, it becomes comical when you get an infrared scope on any of the guns.

Oh, and the bolt action sniper is maybe the worst gun in the game. Not accurate at all and never kills one shot anyway.

just curious.. what do you guys consider camping? I mean, I like to find a nice spot occasionally, get prone and make a kill or two then move around run'n and gun'n.. I never stay in any place long. I'm always going for objectives.. So would camping be considered just staying in one corner or something for an extended period of time? Just curious. I like to play a slower pace sometimes but I don't want to be a "camper." And I've got to try the hardcore modes out.. I haven't even touched them yet. Doh!

I saw the funniest emblum ever the other day and thought I'd shear it. A pig was sitting on a barrell, with bacon inside of a thought bubble above his head, shooting a sentry gun at another pig, with blue sky and clouds as the back ground, and green grass for the ground. I literally laughed my *** off. Only problem is, I was drinking Mountain Dew at the time, and it came out of my nose, and mouth. I liked it so much, I wen't and turned my Packers emblum into the pig shooting another pig for dinner emblum.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops

Josef, to me there are 3 kinds of camping, and I will discribe each type.

Strategic camping - Usually done durring an objective based game (Domination, HQ ect.). Where you stay close to a certain objective, and try to prevent the other team from capturing said objective. An example of this would be stationing your self in the 2nd level of the shack by 'A' on Firing Range, and killing anyone who comes close to 'A' or 'B,' since it overlooks that too, thus helping your team.

Snipe camping - Baracading your self in a room, or location, with the purpose of shooting out of a window, with ANY gun, best if done near an objective.

See how many people I can piss off camping - You build a tent and camp fire in a corner, usually with Ghost and a silencer, and shoot any poor soul who walks by, usually done in random locations, without any regard for the objective. Which can even alienate your own team. I use Ghost, Hacker, and a granade launcher, to counter them.

                    Hope that helps.

I consider people campers if I can routinely find them in the same places over and over again regardless of their score.

Camping, is exactly what the player in this video is doing...

                        <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-_E5PeU0l3M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

most people look down upon this kind of playstyle because it hints that the player playing in this kind of manner has very little gun skill, and reaction ability. As you can see in order for this player to get any kills he had to sit stationary in a corner, lure enemies to run past him. Even still his aim was poor on most shots and he had to spray half a clip on most of his kills. Any time this player got into a situation where they had to move, or improvise and react quickly to their surroundings they miserably failed.

ROFL. I was laughing more at the guy narrating the video more than I was at the camper. But yeah, that would qualify as "See how many people I can piss off, camping." And that noob wasn't even using slight of hand, smh.

P.S. what is that guys PSN? I need to add him, he is too damn funny.

What get's me is why the heck does he use Marathon if he's never sprinting ever? 85% of the time he's in a corner, 5% of the time he's slowly crouch walking, the rest of the time he's getting ripped.

I didn't even notice that lmao. The only camping I ever do is snipe camping, and occasionally strategic camping, but I'm mostly run 'n gun, or flanking. The camper in the video should have been using a shotgun too, cause God knows he needs help with the aiming. My accuracy may only be around 15% (55% with the sniper), and that's only because I shoot at anything that - I think - moves, and do a lot of random shooting trying to get "lucky." But at least I can hit people when I have to.

Just started prestige number 9. This is will be much more painful than the last one because I don't have any lifetime challenges queued up and ready to go. Last time I went from level 5 to level 12 in like 2 matches. Level 14 is the goal because the Famas is the first AR that doesn't suck.
