I swear I've done it like 30-40 times already, I just have a momentary lapse of judgement (aka brain fart), then jump without thinking. Does anyone else keep on doing this no matter how many times you've been killed by doing so?
Speaking on your first point I think Treyarch has tried to implement more diverse elements to the maps than in any other COD game. The switches to open the Basement Shaft on Radiation. Depending on whether those doors are open or shut impacts the game play on that map in certain game modes like Domination where the B flag is down there, and Demo, Search where the bomb site is down there. Launch has the Rocket that launches at a set limit into the match and that effects whether or not one can cap B or plant a bomb in certain game modes, and effects lines of sight once it launches.

They seem to be implementing more random variables into their maps like you mentioned with the Turrets on Berlin Wall, and the Zip Lines on Kowloon, also there are the Destructible land bridges on Discovery... although those are more of an annoyance and don't effect game play much other than having to jump over them when destroyed.

Destructible environments is something I'd like to see come to the Call of Duty franchise. If I light up a wall with a grenade or rocket launch, that wall should obviously come crashing down and expose the building/room within.

I don't really want to see destructable environments personally. I like being able to seek refuge in buildings or behinds cover.

And I'd like to have the ability to blow your cover away so you don't have anything to hide behind. I'm all for eliminating camping, and distructible environments will help to accomplish this.

I believe I said this before in another thread, but I just don't think a Destructible Enviroment feature would work in a game like COD the way it is right now.

I'm all for Destructible Enviroments... When the game system supports it. It works in games like Battlefield because that series is more based upon Large scaled Battles, with Vehicles and they have the bigger maps to support multiple structures being toppled.

COD in it's current state is an Arcadey, twitch/reflex shooter, that is based upon Lines of sight. If you put a Destructible environment system on say a mw2 map like Scrapyard, or Nuketown from Black Ops it would just be a disaster... everyone would run around with RPGs and Launchers what not until the Houses, Busses are completely destroyed and you're just playing in a Slaughter House with one open line of sight with no Tactical elements what so ever.

IW/Treyarch would have to implement larger maps to support it, and that strays away from what they are trying to achieve in the COD series... so I just can't see them doing that.

Why not go a step further and eliminate environments all together? That way you don't have to use any strategy or intelligence at all.

It would be like Shipment 24/7 except with no containers... and you're either spawning and dying, or killing someone. With stuff blowing up all around you... and everyone's going 250 kills 200 deaths.

That might be a blast for some people, not for me though I'd get bored in 2 matches and want to sell my game. (which is why I could only play Shipment Once per day back on Cod4. Fun for one round, but anymore was too much of a mindless slaughter fest)

A map that I think would be a great MP map would be that one special ops level in MW2. You start off in the woods, and it's snowing, then you finish by sliding down that big hill at the end. Map has it all, close quarters combat, sniping potential, long range fire fights. ect.

Hotel, on the roof of a Cuban luxury hotel and casino against the vivid backdrop of old Havan
Sounds a lot like Highrise from MW2.

Zoo takes you on a wild ride in an abandoned Soviet Russian Zoo, with danger at every turn
Is this a hint that there will be variables in the form of wild animals?

I read that as it will be a fairly constricted map with a lot of tight corners, similar to a Salvage from mw2.
