I can see where you're coming from somewhat but I wouldn't see the fun in having a game with nothing to work towards starting you with the best weapons and items.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
I tend to lean towards the "what can you do with the weapons" mindset rather than "unlocking the weapons simply to use them" mindset. It's a perfectly valid gameplay mechanic to show everything there is to use then take it away, but I think it's silly rather than enriching most of the time like Burns.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
The easy solution would be to simply not start you with those weapons. Turn the beginning into a cutscene, turn off the HUD and not put the weapons on you (since you don't fight anyway), anything. If they started it like that, they could take away the weapons and health without the player having that sort of daunting feeling.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
I loved AC2 so much that I am playing through it again as well before I get Brotherhood (very happy to see your guys' great impressions in this thread). I just finished sequence 7, I still haven't decided if I want to buy the DLC sequences (12 and 13 right?).

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
game is great....AC2 was myh favorite game last year, and this is probably gonna be mine this year.
combat is better
more stealth
Rome is stunning
story is good, but if you didn't play AC2 you probably wouldn't appreciate it as much,
I don't know about you guys, but I really take the time to really know the city. Much more than just knowing the general locations of the big loandmarks, but to really get know the little streets and where it leads to and what kind of shortcuts are there.
It just adds the value and pleasure playing the game when you get to know the city. Rome is pretty big so it wont be overnight to know, but for me it's a rewarding experience. I can get lost playing the game for 4 hours straight doing one or two missions and the rest of the time just navigating and knowing the map, going to the tailors, blacksmiths, etc.
great game....
Just having too much fun to rush through it, as captivating as the story really is.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
I will never get tired of chasing a pickpocket or fighting a guard on a roof and seeing them slip and fall to their death.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Ok, just finished.
SpoilerWhat the heck happened at the end??? This is like a 2 year cliff hanger with almost no way to rationalize what happened. Was Desmond possessed by the apple? Had Lucy turned given her absence in the sanctuary and red footsteps in Eagle Vision when trying to find her?? Did the girl's contract just expire??? WHAT THE HECK!!
Going to need someone to talk this one through with.Comment
