The game doesn't have a campaign, but isn't it confirmed that it will have quickplay with bots, like the first two games? I recall reading this in a couple of places. (I mean in addition to the missions and horde mode that have already been shown or detailed.)

Yes, you're correct. This game will have bots in its place. Similar to Titanfall. This game will also Not Support cross-play.

My concerns are growing. I have to accept that EA has the gaming rights to this franchise for the next few years. The game play, graphics, and sounds is amazing. However, I'm not crazy about similar path EA is taking the way they did to Titanfall.

Definitely, a retail purchase only for me on this one.

is it totally open or is there a sign up - I went to the link and it makes it seem like it's just going to be totally open.

IF it is, that's awesome. Even in Beta's it's hard for me not to 'compete', but if I play this one it's all about trying everything, every weapon, vehicle etc. who cares how much I die!

ON another note, 32 player matches at 16 per side means I hope the maps are noticeably smaller than bf4 as a comparison. No need for Parcel storm with that many people...

edit. one final note, on the link I saw 'apple trademarks is ...blah blah' .. does that mean it's coming to mac?

I'm liking little touches like the use of wipes when you're killed and re-spawned, just like star wars. They certainly don't use those in cinema anymore, but getting little things like that shows how much focus and effort they are putting into it. The audio is outstanding and a highlight for me watching those videos.

I'd like to see some long range weapons, but I guess October isn't too far away for me to just find out myself. I love sniping, but in this game I might change my ways just because it's a bit out of place for starwars and maybe I'll just try to always be in the 'hot zones' for this one. I liked that one part in the trenches where the player-controlled storm trooper (look amazing btw) killed that alien race but his face was very recognizable - I like that, sometimes in BF4 everyone seems generic and so blended in there is no individuality - at least here the rebels have variety like that.

3rd person looks way over-powered, in that video the player isn't aiming down the sites just hip-firing with tight accuracy over great distances killing people...

I think they're making this game incredibly noob friendly. Giving all the average players a fighting chance because it's a 'Star Wars' game.

I could be wrong, but it seems that way to me right now. Not sure I'll be able to dominate in this one the way I did in BF4 & BFHardline. We'll see.

Makes sense for it to be for everyone as it's just a game nothing important. When I think Star Wars I don't think competitive gaming.
