Well after spending a solid 2/3 hours I'm totally sold on this game. Feels good to actually have a chance in a shooter.

I'm venturing back to the PS4! My PS4 will be on my doorstep today and I will be swapping Fallout 4 for Battlefront. I wish I had the time for a game like Fallout but with two little ones, my gaming time is limited.

The season pass stuff is another $50 right? I don't know how I feel about that, releasing a bare bones game and then charging the full price of another game for something that should be in the base game to begin with. I seriously doubt we're talking Taken King level of content here. A few guns/weapons, emotes, and maps that should already be there. Who knows what these "expansion packs" will actually entail. I have no problem buying DLC as long as the base experience is there that was worth the price of admission to begin with. But this feels cheap to me, like underhanded gouging to capitalize on the Star Wars license. I pre-ordered the game so i'm a day one buyer regardless but i don't feel good about being asked to spend another $50 so soon when the main criticism of the game across the board is its lack of depth.

The price of the season pass here in canada is a ridiculous $69.99.

Well I played it with no intent of purchasing on EA Access and immediately placed my preorder for the Deluxe PS4 version..

As for the complaints about the likely shallowness of this title:

As a child of Star Wars from the 70's I cannot resist this game no matter how shallow it is. Considering I will probably only play it sporadically, when I'm in the mood, means it's supposed shallowness means very little to me. Its freaking amazing Star Wars so I'm in...

I never got a chance to play the beta because I was at school, don't have access and once again still at school. So I can't comment on actually playing the game. But from what I have read online the huge problem with the game is the lack of a single player campaign.

Got lucky and Gamefly shipped this today, now I don't have to buy... yet. Unfortunately it is coming from Florida so I have no idea how long that'll take to get here.

That's not a huge problem in my view. That's like saying the problem with a Ferrari is that it's not good at 4-wheeling. Two different things...people may not like it, and I get that, but that's not a game problem.

I'm trying to decide on this or Black Ops for PS4. (only have time for one of them at the moment) both look fun and good for online shooters.. so I'm not here to start a debate or anything like that. I Just need a little help trying to decide. I'm starting to lean towards Battlefront because of the 3rd person shooter mode you can do because it looks cool. I haven't played a 3rd person shooter online since Socom and Socom 2 which still are to me the best online console shooters I ever played. The thing I'm worried about though with Battlefront over Black Ops is the longevity of the game.. it looks like in Battlefront.. correct me if I'm wrong but there is not a lot of leveling up and unlocking weapons and gear to keep you busy for a long time.

any comments or suggestions.. much appreciated.. Thanks
