I, for one, would love a Death Star Assault level in Fighter Squadron.

Rebels go for the portal and take out TIEs....TIEs take out the rebels...Y Wings, Xwings, Falcon, Vader's TIE Advanced...sweeet.

That be sweet. Make a blow up the Death Star game mode.

Heroes would have the Millennium Falcon while villians would have Darth Vaders Tie fighter. Reminds me of the old Rogue Squadron games.

Yep that's been my wish, make it a full DLC pack with a ground mode inside the Death Star.

I think a big a big misstep was charging 60 for a game that is essentially incomplete and then 50 more (correct me if I'm wrong) for content that frankly should have been included off the jump.

What sucks is I enjoy playing the game for a few matches day to day. I almost feel guilty. There is definitely some fun mechanics and cool things about the game. It's just such a step back, content wise, from what what we've played before.

I just hope the population remains at least decent for awhile. I have no interest in playing against bots

How well has this game sold? Does EA have incentive to do it better for a sequel or did they make enough money justify sticking to their guns

Could not agree more with the above.

The one thing that really worries me is what seems to be the trend in our gaming age with DLC. It's feels sometimes, in my opinion more and more like developers are stripping games down so they can add further content down the line in the form of a season pass.

Being in production I understand timelines, budgets, marketing making decisions that they charge everyone else with meeting, deadlines, but when companies are selling games AND season passes upon launch, it just leaves me with a bit of an uneasy feeling.

Relating to Battlefront specifically, when I see stuff like, 'The season pass more than doubles the number of maps offered (from 12 to 28), and adds four new heroes, along with a wealth of much needed gear,' I personally can’t help but feel a little cheated.

Titanfall made the mistake of sucking. This game, for what it is, doesn't suck like Titanfall.

I'm amazed more people didn't think that. It was a poor game, IMO. Barely held my attention for a month.

I still enjoy the game. I usually play an hour each night. I'm old fashioned I guess. Only having a small number and maps and guns doesn't bother me. I actually like having less guns because you don't have to play so hardcore to unlock all the guns. I'm a casual gamer and don't get to play as much as some others, so I don't have time to unlock 30 guns to see which one I like the best.

I agree with the Titanfall sucking bunch. I bought an Xbox one just to play that game and stopped after 1 month. The balancing was dumb and it could never keep my interest enough.

It's definitely a trend that's beginning to show-up with the big budget games that EA and Activision (Destiny) have released the last few years. I personally believe that both companies are experimenting with this model, to see how well it actually works.

With regards to SWBF, I believe EA's sales will have fallen short of expectations, where people have been able to see through the tactics you've described in your post. The game obviously lacks content, and EA is banking on the game selling on the Star Wars brand alone.

I personally think EA and Activision are trying to strip their games to the bare minimum that people are willing to pay for at release day; they're really trying to find the sweet spot with how much they can get away with. It seems to have worked wonderfully for Activision so far, with Destiny being incredibly popular. Other publishers are going to try to replicate their model. Destiny turned out to be a cash-cow for Activision.

Thanks for the heads up. As tight as the game is with XP now is the time to play.

Funny thing played my first game in at least a week and went 17-3 in heroes Vs Villians. Best game I ever had. I'm usually more of a negative KD ratio kind of guy
