This also isn't the main DICE studio. This is DICE LA (Danger Close) who did the last 2 Medal of Honor games.

If they mess it up, it'd be the biggest, most spectacular failure in gaming history.

The game practically makes itself.

In a recent article, they stated that this won't be Star Wars + Battlefield. I trust that this DICE studio will try to encompass what was great about the first two Battlefront games.

No reason to be concerned about anything at this point, IMO. I trust they'll do a good job with the series - as I'm sure they know how big of a market it's going to have.

I hope so!

It'll be interesting to see how it comes along. I have a wishlist that I am sort of expecting and that is probably the real root of my concern... That they won't make it into the game lol

colour me concerned.

yea i hope they dont deviate from the original formula TOO much. although they can def make a good single player story this time around since the game never really had a great campaign. they tried in swbf2 but it was still kinda barebones. but the mp was crazy esp with the jedis. id be happy if they kept it how it was but added a real campaign, destruction, and bigger battles and reimagined larger maps from both games with 64 player plus new maps.

I think that would be a pretty bad change. It'd be easy to forget your person was a stormtrooper or Jedi if you can't actually see him, which would really take away from the immersion.

It wouldn't even be the biggest Star Wars game failure in the past 3 years.

Well there's a couple of reasons I see this being first person. It's being developed by DICE who are known for their first person games and in the trailer it was experienced in a first person view.

Yeah I totally get why you said that, I just don't think first person would be a good fit in a Star Wars game.
