The second mission has both, the first mission only has the refueling I believe. I took almost the whole time onthe refueling lol.

Tracer-do the flight mechanics feel a little more sim compared to Hawx 1? If u have played ace combat on the 360 how would you compare the flight controls?

One of my favorite parts about the first one was the great plane selection. The game itself was enjoyable. I wouldn't say I loved it, but it was good. One thing that would have enhanced the experience was being able to understand what the people were saying for the most part.

So, my question to guys with the demo, does this game have subtitles now? Seems like an elementary thing to put in the game, I can't understand why the first game didn't have them. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the Ace Combat games (which I personally enjoyed more than HAWX), but subtitles really help to understand how the plot moves along. Following the tense situation is not easy when there are explosions and gunfire in the background.

Maybe a little more so than Hawx 1. I'd say that it is more sim than Ace Combat was. I know I struggled with the refueling on this game much more than I ever have with Ace Combat.

I really enjoyed the second mission (bombing mission at night w/ nightvision enabled). For once, aiming my bombs didn't feel like a chore. Usually I'm pretty bad at it. Landing on the carrier was fun as well.

Yeah, in the options menu you can turn subtitles on and off.

I love the cockpit camera view. I did the 2nd mission last night where it's night and you take-off and land on the carrier. It was awesome. I sucked at landing on the carrier though. I had to resort to an assisted approach after a few failed attempts.

This one time I wasn't watching my altitude and my plane went straight into the water lol.

I have Ace Combat 6 and have never played HAWX 1. I downloaded the demo for 2 this weekend. WOW this game is gourgous and amazing. I think it is honestly better than AC6. I think the only thing AC6 is better in is control. HAWX 2 could be a design decision to make it a little more twitchy for realism factors. But everything else is jaw dropping. Fantastic title and a must own for me.

Air refueling was badass and the carrier landing took me 3 times circling around the carrier before I stuck the landing.

Played a little of the demo...graphics are gorgeous!! And the take offs and landings are cool. Only complaint is that AI planes seem to fly in the exact same patterns. One plane followed the same path the entire time time I was pursuing it - it just looped around a mountain the whole time. That's no fun.

Maybe I'm weird lol, but I actually landed on the first try but I literally had 5 seconds left to refuel when I finally got it. Took me forever.

The aircraft carrier landings are kinda BS. My brother landed on the thing, with like a 100 feet left, the plane just stopped. I know very little about this whole thing, but isn't there a huge cable on the carrier? You can't land unless you get the cable with the plane.

Just a minor annoyance, that level of polish would of probably made me buy this. Instead I just really wanna try it out from Gamerang.

Considering you spend literally maybe 1% of the game landing and 99% flying shooting things. Why would this one thing change your buying decision?

Cause it is stupid. My money can be spent elsewhere, better. I want a realistic flight game. I don' want to drop straight down onto an aircraft carrier and be all fine and dandy.

The game is fun though... I just don't think I would purchase it. Possibly get it used if I can't get it from Gamerang, but they are pretty good with new games.

I agree. I landed at the end of the carrier with only a few feet of space left so I thought for sure my plane was going to go right off the edge, but it just stopped when I touched down and that was it. It was kinda disappointing, but it won't change my decision on purchase.

Yeah, it's definitely not a HUGE deal and honestly, I don't think I was ever gonna get this anyway. It just gave me excuse to not spend $60, haha. Most of the game is actually pretty top notch.

Yeah same thing happened with me, I wasn't lined up once or twice, but I just got back on the throttle and came back around. It's just a bummer to know, if you really want to, you can half *** the landing.
