Sucker Punch could go multiplatform as well

    http://galaxynextdoor.com/post/63465...atform-as-well

It seems any big independent studio that isn’t owned but a first party publisher like Sony or Microsoft is going multiplatform this generation. There are exceptions with publishers making exclusive deals for franchises but that seems to be the exception, not the norm. The past two weeks Bungie has announced that they will be making games on the PS3, yesterday Insomniac embraced the Xbox 360 and it looks like perhaps Sucker Punch now wants a piece of the Xbox 360 sales pie.

THQ has just announced the creation of a new Partners Program dubbed THQ Partners, which operates the same as EA Partners: forge relationships with developers to fund and publish their products. It’s a smart move and there are yet a few developers out there who are great at what they do but would love to reach a broader audience. The real shocker revelation is that Sucker Punch is one of them.

This isn’t the most earth shattering of news but it’s interesting none the less. SuckerPunch is a small studio who have said time they would love to find a bigger audience, and we’ve heard rumors of this before. The plus side is that single console owners will be able enjoy the fruits of these awesome developers, the down side is stupid fanboys crying over this news if it occurs. I can personally see the Gears franchise in the future going to multiple consoles, unless of course Microsoft decides to speak with their wallet.
Yet another one that is rumored. So far we have Bizzare Creations, SquareEnix, Insomniac, Bungie, EPIC to name a few........who is next?
