Got this price matched at Best Buy, yesterday. Great deal! Now I just have to find time to play.

This game is really good. I wish I had picked it up a long time ago.

Gamespot did a 20-minute interview with a bunch of the old MK staff to celebrate MK's 20-year anniversary:

Mortal Kombat returns after a lengthy hiatus and puts players back into the Tournament for 2D fighting with gruesome combat and fatalities.

What's the best way to chain combos? I can set up moves, but as far as coming up with anything significant I'm not getting "the trick." Mainly playing as Scorpion for now.

Had a friend over and was playing this earlier. Some of these fatalities are hilarious. It sucks that classic skins are freaking DLC.

            Re: Mortal Kombat

At this point, you could probably sell your original copy of the game then get the "Komplete Edition" that comes with all the DLC on a single disc for about an even exchange.

I recommend doing that if you haven't purchased any of the DLC separately.

Combos are all about juggles in this game. Check out testyourmight.com for combos and strategies on all the characters in the game.

Someone I know just repurchased Mortal Kombat and wants me to pick it up as well. Gamestop has it selling for $30 bucks right now. Is that a fair price for this game and is the online lag really that bad?

30 is good for the single player modes alone. Online doesnt compare to SSFIV:AE2012 but its pretty much like how marvel is online.

There is lag but minimal. I can pull off my 9-10 hit kombos onlne well but you have to be a bit quicker on the input. It's highly playable though.

Also I think 30 is steep (although the game is worth it). But I've seen the komplete edition going for 19.99 around the web. can't remember where I saw them at that price though but I know I've seen it.

Wasnt hating on mk netcode. I do the same thing you do with NW online. Its muscle memory at this point. I was just saying its not as good as SF's which has some the best netcode for a fighter.

And the 30 is a typo (which i cant edit on moblie site). 20 is a great price point.

Thanks guys. $20 for the Komplete Edition would be great right about now, but I guess I missed out on those deals. I think I'm just gonna pay the extra $10 bucks and pick it up this afternoon. I played Mortal Kombat a bit as a kid, but haven't really followed the series much since then. The clips of this game look pretty nice.

IMO it might just be the best MK ever produced. Alot of depth and replayability.

Wow, this game is hot. I played my friend for about an hour or so and got beat for the most part, but had some pretty good success with Jax and a bit with Sonja. Didn't have any issues with lag, game played very smooth for me.

Played a ladder for a little bit as well and was getting destroyed by Shao Khan. I eventually cheesed him to a win though lol. Not sure how much I'll do with single player, but it looks like there's a decent amount of content. Not bad.
