Yea it has, especially since the last good one was on PS1 IMO. I love the old school versions best (1-3) though. Can't wait for it.

I'm a mild MK fan, as my avatar suggests. I may take a chance on this game once the price goes down.

Who am I kidding, I've had this on preorder since December 19th, I can't wait to use my MK fight stick! This is the sequel to UMK3 we've all been waiting for since 1996.

Me neither man. I ordered a street fighter fight pad just for this game. I saw Barakas fatality tonight and it looks awesome.

You mean the literal fight pad (arcade layout on a controller) or the fight stick? I have a modded SF Stick as well, but decided to splurge for the MK specific layout of the one that comes with the Tournament Edition of the new MK.

Its the Bison fight pad through Mad Catz. Its a controller with a D Pad and an arcade button layout.

If I was buying it for the 360, I'd look to get one of those controllers.

Stay away from those controllers. They eventually have problems.

Maybe you'll get lucky - but do a search for MadCatz fightpad and you'll see a large majority eventually crap out...

Wish I had trusted my gut initially but the art was too nice...

I haven't bought anything Madcatz in a long time, but their products used to be garbage. I broke a few PS2 controllers several years ago and my parents refused to buy me a Dual Shock because I couldn't take care of them. so I had a few Madcatz and they were cheap made and were faulty..

Well this was actually well designed and felt solid. It just does not hold up over time with, what seems like, a large % of people who purchase. Myself included...

Madcatz has stepped up their game big time. Their Street Fighter TE stick was rock solid, probably the best stick on the market. I bought the SE and modded it with real (I use that term endearingly, with brand name rather) Sanwa parts.

Your fight pad should be fine since you're only using it for MK, the only issue you may have in the meantime is with the layout of the buttons..but they allow you to map it to whatever you see fit so that is basically taken care of from the start.

Anyone get an early copy of this game?

A few people have, there are assorted crappy camera videos out there, nothing capture carded yet though. I came across an awesome video of Smoke vs Sektor, and I must say Smoke has grown on me a LOT since I first saw his select screen pic. His long hair is SIIICK.

Well, I got my fightpad today. Really surprised by how light and comfortable it is in my hands. Definitely cant wait till Tuesday to try it out.
