Can you elaborate?

the story mode, tower mode, and krypt where you unlock extras will have you busy for a long time...sorry im not good at being vivid...but when you put the game in the first feeling you get is "what do I do first?" Theres alot to do before you even throw your first spear...

re online: I experienced lag in my first few ranked matches...but not in the lobby (probably because you can select a opponent with a good connection)

It also takes a while to find a ranked game...unless people arent online on ps3, which I doubt.

The amount of single player content is just ridiculous, and is the reason I am picking this up. I enjoy fighting games, but I'm not a huge fan of playing online. Now I have something that will keep me occupied offline for a while, and thankfully, FINALLY, a good story mode in a fighter.

This, unlike SF and the recent MvC3 has an incredible story mode.

If any fighting game has a solid single player experience - this is it.

Although BlazBlue has an incredible story [/shameless plug]

DAMN YOU ALL! I was content not buying this. I've, at one point, had every MK when I was a kid. I was content coming to an understanding that I'd grown out of fighting games. I just know once I leave my apartment today, I'm going to come home w/ it. Screw you guys

In fact, I'm so confident that if for some reason you DON'T get hooked on it and find it absolutely incredible, you can have my wife, alone, for 2 1/2 hours, no questions asked.

Darn you guys. I kept telling myself, "man you don't need this game right now". But I've been reading this thread since the weekend and I literally haven't heard anything but good things about this game.

Wow! I have stayed away from fighting games since Street Fighter IV, since I usually lose interest quickly. However, I am really impressed with the amount of content the devs poured into the new MK. THIS, is how it should be done. I will pick this up after the price drop.

Will the Marvel Fightpad that came out for MCV3 work for this game? Trying to decide whether to get this for the 360 or PS3, and I still have the Marvel Fightpad for the 360.

not really a big deal. Sony threw money at them to include Kratos, and preventing the 360 from getting an exclusive character makes sense in that kind of deal.

What does MS have that would have worked anyways, besides another Halo Spartan like in DOA4? They don't own the Gears IP, but maybe they could have got Banjo & Kazooie.
