      "Komplete Edition" is koming:

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition delivers the critically acclaimed game, all previously released downloadable content (DLC), plus digital downloads of the 2011 release of Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors album with a bonus track, and the 1995 Mortal Kombat film on the PlayStation®Store or Xbox Live Zune. The DLC includes fan-favorite warriors Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain, as well as the infamous dream stalker Freddy Krueger. The game also offers 15 Klassic Skins and three Klassic Fatalities (Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile). Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors is a collection of electronic music inspired by the game and is executive produced by JFK (of the DJ/ production duo MSTRKRFT and Death From Above 1979).

This game is scheduled for release in North America 02/28/12.

Man I've put this game on hold. Still plugging away in small amouts though. I got to Stryker and can't stand him so I was spamming time played and just going up the ladder on easy. No way I'd take him online.

That's cool about the Komplete Edition. Should bring some life back to online. Although really all I need online as far as trophies go are 10 straight KOH wins and another 1300 respect points.

Then I can just run through the rest offline.

I'll be grabbing that package for the 360 when it comes out.

              Re: Mortal Kombat

I started playing this last night. I went through the tutorial and did the Johnny Cage (chapter one) part of the story mode.

Pretty fun game so far, but I think I should invest in a fight stick because the directional pad/L-stick on the controller just isn't going to make the cut in the long run. What do you guys suggest?

Sweet. I have to return Left for Dead (just didn't get into it) and will have to see if they have any.

It's pretty much the best stick you can buy that's not a $130 Tourament Edition stick.

Plus you can always mod that stick easily if you ever want to upgrade the parts.

GS didn't have the WWE fight stick and now they're sold out online, oh well. I'll probably pick up that WWE controller unless something else pops up before the weekend.

Do you only have one Gamestop nearby?

You can always use that link to the website to check if any nearby stores have one.

The silver controller with the rotating D-Pad isn't bad either. That's what I used when I played this game.

I don't think you need to invest in a fightstick for this game though. MK's moves are just the 4 directions on the d-pad, there's no rolling motion like there are in Street Fighter, where a stick is better.

I'll play with my regular controller some more to see if I can get the hang of it, but it doesn't feel very responsive. At least not after a couple hours of playing.
